DVLA Enforcement Offcier. Full time position. 42.5hrs per week. The successful candidate will be liaising with members of the public and giving advice on payment methods and answering general enquiries. You will need strong admin skills to produce reports and documentation along with first class customer service skills. Communication is key to this role as you will be communicating verbally and in writing with the members of the public, DVLA, Police and Councils as well as giving updates to Enforcement Officers and Drivers and colleagues within the pound.

What does a DVLA Enforcement Officer Do?

* Liaises with members of the public and give advice regarding clamping and fines.
* Advises the public on payment methods and other issues regarding enforcement action taken on their vehicle.
* Work alongside other agencies, when required including, Police, DVLA and VOSA.
* Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available.
* Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviced and fit for purpose, reporting faults to the Manager.
* Completes daily reports regarding activities

What do you need to be a DVLA Enforcement Officer?

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing day-to-day financial transactions for both clients and the firm
* Identifying and allocating client receipts accurately
* Handling office and client payments efficiently
* Issuing and depositing cheques as necessary
* Facilitating deposit account transactions, including uplifts, lodgements, closures, and setting up new accounts
* Appropriately allocating payments to fees

* Utilising various online systems from different banks as required

The ideal candidate:
* Experienced in operating within a busy cashiering environment
* Strong understanding of Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Anti Money Laundering Rules, and VAT regulations
* Proficient in handling postings in the firm and client ledgers, with an awareness of the importance of maintaining proper and accessible backup documentation for all transactions
* Maintains a professional appearance and delivers high-quality service to clients, whether internal or external, consistently
* Adopts a flexible and proactive approach to work duties, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving

Your new company

You will be joining a very prestigious and established UK Law Firm as their Legal Cashier on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit team within finance reporting to a Financial Controller. Based in their modern Central London office 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining two days.

Your new role


In your new role, you will be responsible for monitoring bank accounts to process incoming payments in line with SRA and AML rules, processing client account payments and other transfers (when required), entering Counsel Fee notes, calculating/investing surplus funds, processing client internal transfers and handling queries from fee earners.


What you'll need to succeed


In order to succeed in this role, you will need at least one year of Cashiering experience, ideally within a Legal or Professional Services environment. You will be a proactive, enthusiastic and driven self-starter with fantastic communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders across the business. You will be able to work unsupervised and work under pressure in an organised way. You will be self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach and possess the ability to pick up new systems quickly. Any experience with Norwel finance software would be beneficial.
