Your key responsibilities:
- Senior client coverage for Chinese clients with key responsibility of identifying opportunities and structuring solutions, in close coordination with product partners across the corporate bank product suite.
- Originating new leads with potential clients and building relationships with existing Greater China clients. Actively driving meeting preparations and key follow ups.
- Supporting the execution of the China Outbound coverage strategy and serving as key contact point for regional C-Suite and Treasurers of Chinese clients in the region.
- Ability to construct strategic dialogues with competent content to drive business opportunities, adding value to clients in support of their business development plans.
- Contributing to the development of marketing materials and to building Deutsche Bank’s China Outbound Coverage franchise and reputation in the market.
- Developing strong productive relationships and coordinating with other Deutsche Bank colleagues to ensure clients receive seamless worldwide banking services.
- Pro-actively develop understanding of DB Corporate Bank products and solutions for China Outbound.
- Remaining abreast of industry trends and themes.
- Supporting with the onboarding process for clients (working closely with KYC and control colleagues), responding to internal/external stakeholder queries.
Your skills and experience:
- Must possess a strong command in Professional and Business Mandarin language (spoken and written) as this role supports Chinese clients based in China and offshore locations.
- 15 years+ of banking experience managing large corporate client relationships in China either as a team lead covering a wide portfolio or an individual producer in a relationship management or product sales function in a global financial institution, with 5 years+ experience in a global/regional capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance relationships with senior client contacts. Track record in being able to understand the strategic priorities of our clients and provide holistic corporate banking solutions to achieve their objectives
- Demonstrated ability to execute structured and complex deals across the banking product suite with detailed knowledge of credit risk management and ESG frameworks in relation to corporates.
- Deep understanding of the corporate business environment, regulatory and market trends across Asia with industry specific knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills capable of assimilating new information quickly and pro-actively relating them to the needs of the client base.
- Ability to connect and build strong relationships with colleagues across the business franchise and in other regions.
- High level of energy and accessibility, clear team player. Strong networking skills and a proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business and in other regions.
- Good project management skills and ability to work autonomously. Fast learner with proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with ability to prepare impactful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant financial discipline or with relevant industry experience
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
