We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant Coordinator to join our team at the Direct Payment Support Service.
Direct Payments are cash payment given to people who are eligible for support under the Social Services Wellbeing Act 2014. This enables people to arrange their own support from a Personal Assistant (PA) or purchasing services. This is a way of replacing a traditional package of care as usually put in place by the Local Authority. You can read more about direct payments here: https://www.npt.gov.uk/2290
As a PA Coordinator you will assistant people recruit for their Personal Assistant, so being a good communicator is really important as you will be working with people with a broad spectrum of support needs, training can be provided so as long as you are passionate about supporting others and enabling them to be independent then please think about applying.
It would be great if you have existing experience of developing a workforce, creating and maintaining databases and supporting people see what skills and experience they can transfer into the role of a Personal Assistant.
