Senior Accounting Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for controlling, monitoring the inflow, use, and change of the funds of the company;

2. Be responsible for the internal lending and settlement management;

3. Be responsible for the bank credit and liaise with the bank for the repayment;

4. Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely closing;

5. Prepare the financial reports of the company and send them to the Finance Manager for review;

6. Prepare tax declaration and tax accounting and send them to the Finance Manager for review;

7. Be responsible for the GST submission;

8. Liaise with the lawyer or tax adviser to make sure compliance with all legislative tax & financial reporting policies and requirements;

9. Other works designated by the management.

Requirements:

1. Master's Degree in Finance/Accounting from top universities or Graduation (ZhuanKe) Qualification Certificate;

2. Must accept Night-Working. For EP only;

3.Prefer fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English as may need to report to the management in the headquarter in China and liaise with the bank in China;

4. More than 3 years of work experience as Senior Accounting Officer or equivalent in a large company, preferably in the logistics industry;

5. Excellent communication and writing skills;

6. Highly motivated and held accountability for tasks assigned and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

7. Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCount Accounting, and other financial planning software.

I. Financial Accounting:

- Handle full set of accounts

- Purchase Invoice accounting, payment to supplier

- Custodian of Cash and Bank Payments and Bank Reconciliation

- Customer Accounts review and receipt of Payment and Reconciliation

- Prepare GST information for quarterly GST report / filing

- Prepare monthly management / financial reports

- Prepare supporting schedules, including month-end and year-end closing

- Audit Schedules and General Ledger Review

- Assist Audit process and preparation of Reports etc.

II. Reporting:

- Track & analyse business and operation performance on a regular basis to guide business decision making

- Collaborate with stakeholders and identify opportunities to drive business growth, efficiency, process improvements, and cost savings

- Monthly business performance reporting

- Prepare analysis on an ad hoc basis as required.

Requirement:

- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or ACCA

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting SEA&I (Southeast Asia and India) who will be part of the SEA&I Record-to-Report team to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial reporting and maintain an effective internal control environment.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will ensure timely and accurate month-end closing across SEA&I territory and will drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s accounting and financial reporting processes. This will also involve working closely with our Managed Service Provider for accounting transactions.

You will develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers of the business. In addition, you may engage with internal Country Controlling teams, Finance, Legal, Tax and other cross functional teams to analyse process impact, to drive necessary changes in supporting business initiatives and efficiencies.

You will also be part of the team managing local statutory filings and audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors and tax advisors on tax related work such as corporate income tax, consumption (indirect) tax, transfer pricing related matters and local tax audits.

This role directly reports to Manager – Corporate Accounting, SEA&I. In addition to working closely with the SEA&I Finance team, you will also work closely with our broader Nike SEA&I team. Effective and timely communication between Nike SEA&I, APLA Geography teams and business partners are a critical piece to this role, and this will give you a great opportunity to learn our end to end business process with broader business key stakeholders. WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Senior Accountant, Accounting Operations Trading Company for Nike Trading Company B.V. and Nike Global Trading B.V. in Singapore (“Nike Trading Company”), you will be responsible for managing the global Inventory and intercompany accounting activities for the buy/sell operations of the Nike Trading Company.

We are looking for a candidate with strong SAP skills in the MM/FI modules and accounting operations experience, preferably in the areas of Inventory and Intercompany. The individual is also expected to communicate complex concepts as well as work collaboratively, independently and partner cross functionally with multi-cultural stakeholders, both financially and non-financially trained.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be responsible for E2E inventory/global intercompany accounting processes accounting process for buy/sell operations for legal entity reporting in SAP R/3 and S4 including: timely execution of month-end closing activities which includes inventory adjustments, cutoff entries, inventory aging review, purchase price variance analysis, various intercompany chargeback entries, month-end reporting and variance analysis. Where there are exceptions, investigate, communicate and follow up effectively with the relevant parties and close off with proper documentation.

You will also be managing quarterly inventory count and reconciliation activities as well as year end confirmation and support internal and external audits in the relevant scope. Furthermore, you will also ensure compliance with NIKE’s Corporate policies, SOX controls, and statutory/tax filing requirements.

You will also be required to partner with various stakeholders including Global and Geography/Country Controlling, Supply Chain, Tax, Global Treasury to support business requirements, research on exceptions to identify root causes, and drive process improvements. Additionally, you will maintain the integrity of financial statements and compliance with US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements through enabling process improvements and documentation of processes and SOP to meet internal control and reporting requirements. You will also be driving automation, standardization and simplification in processes to continuously improve end to end processes and maintaining strong internal controls governance.
