The Director, Projects & Design (Development Support) – Asia Pacific excluding China (APACx) reports to the Senior Director, Projects & Design and is responsible for the management of project stakeholders, project timeline, design process, and the successful opening/conversion/renovation of the hotel project. As the point of contact between Owners, and internal and external partners, you are a conduit of information, collaborator, and facilitator between Hilton and Ownership.

You will cover the Asia Pacific region excluding Greater China & Mongolia (APACx) and be responsible for focus-service, full-service, lifestyle, and luxury hotel projects across all Hilton brands.

What will I be doing?

Project Management

• Provide technical services and guide all elements of the planning and design phase of the project.
• Support the Owner’s project timelines and construction progress to ensure a seamless hotel handover.

Iconic 587-room Hilton Sydney is located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and is steps from Town Hall station and the QVB Light Rail stop. As the Director of Finance you will lead the Finance, Information Technology and Purchasing departments along with their associated operations and serve as the key financial advisor to the General Manager, hotel leaders, and Ownership group alike. JOB OUTCOMES
As Director of Finance, you will lead the Finance, Purchasing and Information Technology departments. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & CONTROL

• Overall management of the accounting records and financial reports of the hotel ensuring compliance with company, owner’s management agreement, statutory and fiscal requirements and timetables including but not limited to all SOX requirements, BAS, FBT, and tax reporting.

• Ensure proper permits and licenses have been obtained for such matters as importation, currency transfers and hotel operations
• Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External Audit.

• Develop the effectiveness of the hotel finance function through the ongoing training and development of the team. Lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance.

Benefits Governance & Cost Structure

• Set up an APAC Benefits Governance Structure - develop and conduct regular reviews of an APAC RASCI and review/approval process for all benefits-related policies, programs, and decisions that are fit for business based on sound governance principles.
• Establish APAC/Regional insurance pooling arrangements for key insurance-based benefits based on a growing scale to achieve greater and ongoing cost-effectiveness.
