Responsibilities:
The DQ LAB in associated with the DQ Institute is seeking an experienced ERD to join its international team. We are looking for a senior researcher who can bring their talents to contribute to the evaluation and accreditation of digital literacy educational programs. This exciting project will involve partnership work with large scale international organizations such as the international telecommunications union (ITU), IEEE, UNICEF, UNESCO, and others.
As ERD, you will bring enthusiasm, energy, and passion to your work on issues at the forefront of education and technology. Our team values problem solving, analytical and statistical skills. Our ideal candidates are smart, creative, analytical thinkers with attention to detail.
The ERD will take the lead on a scheme where the DQ LAB evaluate and accredit the educational content of partners and clients. You will manage relationships with international partners including governments, NGOs, schools, universities, and private companies. Moreover, you will study their educational materials, evaluate their alignment with DQ Global Standards and produce on-/off-line reports and presentations while working alongside our partner organizations.
You will be part of an international team working closely with colleagues from research, data science, and IT development. In addition, you will work closely with partners and advisors who work at the cutting edge in the fields of psychology, education, and media research. You will engage with partners from globally renowned NGOs and social enterprises as well as figures from national and local government.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of research and development projects.
- Plan, initiate and lead research, client presentations, workshops, and discussions.
- Use critical thinking techniques to move thoughts and discussions from broad to specific.
- Help define specific product features by integrating inputs from a wide range of sources including qualitative and quantitative research.
- Influence the direction and quality of work via thought leadership and mentoring.
- Lead development of curriculums, frameworks, assessments, and educational content.
- Lead alignment and mapping process of external education content according to the DQ Framework.
- Direct and manage a team of researchers and data scientists.
- Lead development and writing of research papers, articles, and blogs.
- Work with creative and tech teams to deliver assessments and education products/services.
- Develop and work with a Research Committee.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Graduate degree (master’s degree, or PhD) in, psychometrics, psychology, human-computer interaction, education, communications or related field preferred.
Experience: Typically, five or more years of research experience.

· Experience in tests and measurement

· Be able to lead a research team composed of multi-disciplinary researchers

· Be able to understand statistics and to communicate with data scientists

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
· Proven project management skills; ability to perform well on multiple concurrent projects and meet timelines.
· Can provide leadership for all aspects of the design process, as well as areas outside field of expertise
· Exceptional theoretical and practical knowledge in the conception of studies and questionnaires
· Strong research assessment and analytical skills
· Clear user experience design focus; proven familiarity with emerging technologies and the ability to integrate new technologies to user experience designs.
· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
