RESPONSIBILITIES

4. WhatsApp Management:

• Manage SPS WhatsApp for sales and marketing communication with
  professionalism.

5. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with team members to share information and execute sales
  and marketing plans.

6. Affiliation & Collaboration:

• Seek partnerships with institutes, universities, and organizations to expand
  business networks.

7. Event Participation:

• Represent SPS by attending events, trade shows, or conferences as
  needed.

8. Quotation & Invoice Processing:

• Prepare and process quotations and invoices accurately and timely.

9. Training Support:

• Assist in training registration, confirmation, and certificate issuance for
  participants.

10. HRD Claimable Course Coordination:

• Coordinate HRD Claimable Course applications with HRD Corp.

11. Event Preparation Support:

• Support in preparation for public training and events.

12. Training Preparation Coordination:

• Organize training logistics including venue, materials, registration, and
  certifications.

13. Participant Communication:

• Maintain communication with participants via email, WhatsApp, etc.,
  providing necessary information and support.

Duties and responsibilities

A Sales Intern works in an entry-level capacity to support the sales team by focusing on administrative tasks. A Sales Intern should be flexible and ready to take on new challenges as they arise. Now looking for them a New Business Internal Sales Representative. There is outbound calling, but this based on research they have done and potentially previous customers where they call to check in and make them aware of new products for example or a new customer they have found from their research from magazines, google, press etc. They will not be targeted so many calls a day for example. They will have a small group of accounts they look after too over time.

Office based but can do 50% hybrid once they have passed their probationary period. Typically 2 days in the office 1 week and 3 the following.

Salary £24k- no commission but salary will be assessed annually.
Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week

Your role will include the following:
• Making outbound calls to assess new business opportunities, confirming potential for our products before passing to the Sales Managers;
• Qualification of customer data to generate a focus list for onward sales and help manage the department‘s CRM system;
• Develop additional sales of our products through cross selling opportunities from inbound and outbound calls;
• Use research and external Industry magazines to source and log new potential prospects and market information relevant to the furniture industry on our internal database;
• Updating the CRM database in conjunction with the Sales Managers on market size/share, new opportunities and priorities;
• Assessing and documenting relevant information on competition, stock holding, range portfolio and locations;
• Manage some small accounts and operate as holiday cover for Sales Coordinators.

The ideal candidate will enjoy personable interaction with a confident and enthusiastic approach to tasks.
You will:
• Have excellent telephone manner and communication skills;
• Be computer literate with experience using Microsoft packages including Teams, experience using SAP would be advantageous;
• Have excellent organisation and time management skills;
• Be able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team within a busy customer-orientated sales office;
• Be experienced in a telesales or outbound business development role, B2B would be an advantage;
• Ideally experienced with CRM databases;
