RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Office of Human Resources and Faculty Administration (HRFA).
• HR Technology Management
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of HR Technology systems/platforms to improve and streamline HR operations, as well as enhancing the user experience for employees, line managers and HR users.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR function and IT/System implementation partner for the SAP SuccessFactors implementation project and ongoing technology initiatives/enhancements.
  • Lead the design and delivery of new/enhancement of HR technology solutions including HRIS (SAP HR ECC, SAP SuccessFactors modules) and other relevant 3rd party HR tools (e.g., Qliksense, Glint, Chronus, Microsoft Office Tools, Document management System) to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth rollout and integration between HR systems and other organizational platforms, aligning to business requirements.
  • Facilitate the change management process for the deployment of new systems or major updates to existing HR systems/modules.
• Data Management and Analytics/Reporting
  • Oversee the management of HR data, not limiting to data structure inventory, data accuracy and compliance with data privacy.
  • Drive HR analytics and through development of standard reports/dashboard to provide insights into key HR metrics to support data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with IT department to implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive HR data and ensure data access control.
• Process Optimisation
  • Lead and collaborate with business owners (internal HR or external stakeholders) to operationalise the implementation of the HR/Academic policies and processes via technology.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, workflow and improve user experience through technology enhancement/automation.
• Compliance and Vendor Management
  • Oversee and review users' access for all HR related systems, i.e., HRMS such as SAP HR/SuccessFactors, reporting tool such as Qliksense, electronic document management system, Intranet repository, 3rd party systems, etc. to ensure segregation of duties are being managed appropriately according to internal control guidelines.
  • Participate in the periodic audit review exercise, not limiting to users' access maintenance.
  • Manage relationship with HR technology vendors, together with the IT department, on system patches/upgrades, maintenance, adhering service level agreement, contract negotiation.
• Training and Documentation
  • Develop training materials, conduct training sessions for users on the use of HR technology platform. Create and maintain documentation, user guide, FAQs to support end-users to navigate the system effectively.
• Team Management
  • Lead and mentor the team members, providing guidance on project prioritization, continuous development and keeping up with new technology trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of broad HR experience, with at least 3 years in HR technology implementation, or related roles, including leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of HR technology platforms, including HRMS (SAP HR ECC, SAP SuccessFactors), 3rd party faculty information system, survey platform (Glint).
• Proficiency in HR solutions' configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Highly self-motivated and independent thinking abilities.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder influencing/engagement capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in multiple teams and coordinate efforts across different stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team's members.

The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the talent engine fueling a high growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry. The Lead Human Resources Business Partner – Corporate Functions will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with one or more Sr Leaders in our Corporate Functions and their respective teams while also driving the efficient and effective delivery of key Human Resources projects and objectives.  Success in this role will draw from an established track record of successfully partnering with functional leaders to build capability and maintain effective teams, leading through Moderna’s values and Mindsets, all while delivering results. This role is a key member of the Corporate Function HRBP team and reports to the HR Executive Partner for Corporate Functions. The HRBP team is focused on being a Moderna culture ambassador, business enablement, delivering against intense people growth objectives of the company while also promoting a high-performance culture.

The Lead HR Business Partner will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team and other subject matter experts to solution and align practices and initiatives with the Company’s strategic and operational goals.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic counsel to key functions and management in the areas of organizational effectiveness and development, coaching and talent management.

• Engage cross-functionally and assist staff at many levels in optimizing the performance of their teams and resolving issues.

• Contribute to creating solutions in such areas as employment, employee communication, talent and career development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HRIS delivery.

• Support continued growth and infrastructure by helping to identify talent gaps and development areas across the Corporate Functions and other areas as the business grows.

• Focus on relentless ability to build/re-build teams by using strong capability planning/workforce planning experience to diagnose and recommend best-fit org design frameworks.

• Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers regarding HR practices, HRIS systems, employee relations, development etc.

• Ensure system workflows and communication are efficiently executed across key functions.

• Support HR Executive Partner on key projects and initiatives as well as day-to-day tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years progressive Human Resources Business Partnership experience required.

• Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives in a fast growth environment is required, including skill in partnering with other members of the HR team.

• Proven experience leading and owning capability/workforce planning and re-org work in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven HR business partnership experience within the Finance/Corporate Functions

• Prior experience working in a dynamic global technology, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical organization.

• Ability to form strong partnerships and trust with employees regardless of level.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.

The Digital Transformation and Innovation Division (DTID) is the business transformation division to drive A*STAR towards a digitally enabled and data-driven organisation. The division is responsible to define the digital vision, formulate digital strategies and develop the digital roadmap to frame and provide directions towards our digitalization efforts. DTID acts as the catalyst in driving digital transformation and is the bridge between business owners and technology supports. As the central division, DTID performs the role as the horizontal integrator to synergise and harmonise digital efforts and drive complex and cross-cutting digital initiatives for A*STAR. Beyond business-technology, the roles of DTID also entails the raising of digitally skilled and creative workforce to empower our workforce to harness digital technology and embrace business transformation. To support digitalization efforts, the division is also responsible to set digital/data policies and put in place governance and standards.

You will be part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Team to contribute to the implementation of a large-scale ERP replacement project as the Change Management Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely across Corporate departments and the A*STAR entities to define and devise engagement strategies for key stakeholder groups.
• Develop and refine an employee communications strategy and work within the ERP team and with other A*STAR divisions (e.g. Human Resources, Learning & Organisation Development, Research Institutes) to execute the change management strategy.
• Work with the awarded System Integrator (SI) to lead on the development and enhancement of a range of communication channels and platforms for the ERP project.
• Ensure internal messages are communicated to employees in a clear, timely and effective manner across multiple channels and platforms.
• Create interesting content and campaigns to be delivered across a variety of channels.
• Serve as point of contact across various departments/divisions to ensure consistency and standards for communications reaching internal audiences.
• Identify ways to measure the effectiveness of internal comms effort and develop reports for the A*STAR leadership team.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in any discipline with 4-5 years of demonstrable experience in internal communications, change management or related fields in a System Integrator environment, a marketing agency or as an in-house communications practitioner
• Strong ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent communicator with effective writing and presentation abilities, as well as strong project management and people engagement skills
• Self-motivated, curious, resourceful, and a good team player
