The Directorate also provides a comprehensive Diagnostic Cytology service as well as a Cervical Cytology testing service supporting HPV testing for the whole North West also on-site at the Oxford Road Campus.

Are you the leader we are looking for to oversee the work of our Histopathology service and who will ensure that we continue to offer high-quality services to the Trust? In conjunction with the Clinical Director and Directorate Manager for Cellular Pathology, you will be responsible for the overall operation and development of the Histopathology laboratory service. You have the responsibility for managing a team to successfully deliver all aspects of laboratory operations, from motivating staff to maintaining the department’s finances; this is a multi-layered role that requires an ambitious leader.

As Histopathology evolves, we wish to embrace technological developments and utilise SMART automation to support delivery of our service and are currently implementing Digital Pathology across all sites.

We are looking for a visionary leader with excellent communication skills and a management qualification, or evidence of developed management skills. HCPC registered, you will have significant Histopathology experience, with a good awareness of current issues in the pathology service, health and safety legislation and UKAS standards. You will be a leader with strategic capability, who can drive forward modernisation in the context of financial efficiency. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Service/operational management Provides operational management support for all services within directorate, working closely with the clinical service manager, clinical director and clinical leads, departmental heads and divisional management team. NEA is the lead agency for planning for after-death facilities and services in Singapore. The Memorial Facilities and Planning Division oversees the planning and provision of these facilities. As a member of MFPD, you will be responsible for leading the planning and launch of new after-death facilities, and maintaining oversight of the development process. This includes projecting the after-death facility requirements and other after-death trade demands as our demographics change over time.

• Manage and plan for launch of upcoming after-death facilities
• Formulate policy and operational strategies to manage disamenities arising from after-death facilities and associated trades
• Review and develop relevant policies and regulations related to after-death services
• Perform other duties as required under work exigencies

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in development, policy, or land-use planning.
• At least 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
• Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement

Your new role
As the Mergers and Acquisitions Corporate Tax Senior Manager/Director, you will be responsible for due diligence services, tax structuring, input into SPAs and financing documents, post-acquisition implementation and reorganisations, and ongoing advice to corporates and individuals. Within this Firm you will have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of high-profile merger and Acquisitions projects, you will be working with shareholders and management teams in the UK and internationally on the structuring of their personal investments and advising on tax technical and commercial issues. In addition, the Senior Tax Manager will participate in client business development activities, pulling on your marketing skills and provide training and coaching to junior staff members.


What you'll need to succeed
The successful Mergers and Acquisitions Corporate Tax Senior Manager/Director will be ACA/ACCA/CA/CTA qualified and have experience in Mergers and Acquisitions tax requirements and of providing corporate tax advisory to UK or international corporate clients.
