Job Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role in a furniture manufacturing or production environment is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, including cutting, assembly, finishing, and quality control is an added advantage.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to train and mentor production floor staff to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address production issues and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on the production floor.

Job Description

• Supervise and oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to production floor staff, coordinate workflow, and monitor progress to meet production targets and deadlines
• Train, mentor, and develop production floor staff to ensure efficient and skilled workforce.
• Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials to avoid shortages.
• Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of equipment and machinery, promptly addressing any breakdowns or malfunctions.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and protocols to create a safe work environment and minimize accidents or hazards.
•  Prepare and submit reports on production performance, bottlenecks, and areas of improvement to the management team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preform variance investigation, verification and reporting on regular basis
• Completion of reports with high accuracy on time
• Responsible in product costing and cost accounting
• Assist in performing weekly & monthly variance analysis, cost and  profitable analysis
• To analyse cost for costing purposes, monitor changes in manufacturing process to determine the impact on profitability
• Update costing information, report preparation and carry out comparison of cost estimates against actual
• Calculate and analyse product costs, including material costs, direct labour, and manufacturing overhead. Work closely with the product development team to calculate costs for new products and provide cost inputs for pricing decisions.
• To support any ad-hoc assign from Management 
• Maintain and enhance costing systems and tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency of cost data. Implement cost accounting methodologies and provide training to team members to ensure adherence to established standards

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in costing system development;
• Strong in interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
• Medium-high level of excel proficiency – V/H/X lookups and Pivot Tables is a must and preferable knowledge or experience in BI tools (Power BI / Power Query) will be an advantage;
• Presentation skills with PowerPoint
• Number sensitive  
• Working experience in Lean Manufacturing is highly preferred, but not a must.
