Job Responsibilities:
· Project Management:
· Plan, organize, and manage all construction projects from start to finish to ensure timely completion of the project.
· Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
· Monitor progress against project milestones and objectives, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on track.
· Provide guidance and direction to construction workers, subcontractors, and other team members.
· Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
· Health and Safety:
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies with standards on-site.
· Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards and ensure safe working conditions for all personnel.
· Implement and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures, and provide ongoing safety training to site personnel.
· Inspect construction sites regularly to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
· Quality Control:
· Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet specified standards and contractual requirements.
· Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and take corrective actions as necessary.
· Client and Stakeholder Communication:
· Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to specifications.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
· Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner, and address their concerns effectively.
· Resource Management:
· Manage on-site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
· Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
· Documentation and Reporting:
· Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related documents.
· Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to project activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and meeting minutes.
· Prepare and submit regular progress reports and updates to project stakeholders and management.
· Any other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.
Job Requirements:
· At least 5 years of experience in construction site management or project management.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, practices, and techniques.
· Excellent paperwork & communication skills.
· Ability to read plans and specifications.
· Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
· Required language (s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, English as these are the language used in the construction site.
