Overall Job Purpose

Expected Experience

Operations Manager / Engineer

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing an Operations Department to operate the gas turbines of our power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the position of Operations Manager, who shall report to Deputy Head of Operations and is responsible for supervision and improvement of plant electricity generation. The successful candidate shall support engineering teams, draw up safety protocols, reports issues to Deputy Head, Operations and develop strategies to improve efficiency. The Operations Engineer shall assist Deputy Head, Operations in/to:

Responsibilities:

• Assisting Deputy Head of Operations to ensure power plant equipment e.g. Gas turbine is operating at optimal output, efficiency and reliability.
• Liaise with Power System Operator (PSO) and other regulatory authorities on operation matters.
• Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Liaising with shift charge engineers or technical officers to develop plans that improve generation, operation costs, and labor required.

1. Function as the primary focal point for all Process Engineering/Project Management matters pertaining to the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) engineering during Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase.

2. Be part of multidisciplinary Team in executing high-quality sprints to deliver the GdM FEED.

3. Ensure compliance with the Brazilian Regulatory Framework (ANP, Navy, IBMA, NR etc).

4. Lead and Co-lead the identification of design improvement opportunities, influence key-decision and identify Threats and Opportunities.

5. Conduct technical alignment meetings within Shell and Contractors on technical design scope of work, perform design reviews and integrated risk assessments, specially on what refers to the regulatory compliance.

6. Apply Project Maturation Standards to support a Risk-Based approach in Collaborating with contractors on the engineering maturation.

7. Have a deep understanding of topsides facilities design and operations.

Position Summary:

The Technical Project Manager, or known as Engineering Delivery Manager within Thales, is responsible for leading his team to the completion of engineering tasks within committed budgets, schedules, quality and performance for successful bids and projects delivery. He coordinates and monitors the implementation of all engineering tasks throughout the whole life cycle of a bid/project.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure engineering activities are well managed within constraints of bids/projects, approved architecture, design policy, contracts, and company quality requirements.

Summary:

[Job Description]

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering Project Team and manage the operational and technical work and processes, including managing manpower, equipment and tools resources to support production schedule and optimize work capability and capacity of the projects.

• 10+ years of experience in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry, of which at least 5 years in managerial position or above.
• In-depth working knowledge of industrial code and standards commonly applied to oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure EPC project such as ASME, API, ASTM is a must.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering in EPC or Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED), as well as feasibility study. Overall Job Purpose

Expected Experience

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s) or MS degree plus minimum 15 years relevant experience. Engineering Management

Studies Coordination: Coordinate and validate with other Technical Support Units the execution of specific key studies (collector system, roads design, foundation design, noises, or others) for its integration in the engineering project, to minimize the risk associated to the construction process.

Providers and Supplier Management:: Establish relationships with the main suppliers and providers for the whole value chain in order to include the most efficient technical and economical options to the engineering designs for each site.

Common Standards: Assure the application of the common standards in the studies and projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, to avoid non-justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed. Detects the inconsistencies of EDPR standards to adapt them to company reality.

Company Policy and legal compliance: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.

EDP Renewables Interest Representations: Represent EDP Renewables to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR.

• At least 8 years’ experience in planning, engineering and design of projects for PV Plants and/or BESS, substations and high voltages lines.
