Our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities are vital catalysts for our mission to invent new medicines that save and enhance lives. The Data, AI, and Genome Sciences (DAGS) function at our organization adopts an AI/ML-first approach to enhance target and biomarker discovery by driving the understanding of complex disease mechanisms. As the Director of Data Science and AI, Data Lead, you will leverage your expertise in genomic technologies, multi-omics data, and computational and AI/ML techniques to drive the development of a scalable, FAIR data infrastructure and evidence-based knowledge graph. You will collaborate with Computational Biologists, Bioinformaticians, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and AI/ML Engineers as part of a cross-functional team dedicated to identifying therapeutic targets. You will report to the Executive Director and Head of AI/ML.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide guidance for the data strategy to support target and disease biology discovery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and data requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert to AI/ML Scientists and Engineers, providing guidance on data, data pipelines, and disease biology.
Take ownership of the framework for data specifications and processes for integrating different data modalities (multi-omics, high-throughput screening data, clinical data, images) from internal and external sources into a Common Data Model for computational and AI/ML-driven target discovery.
Lead the development of data specifications and processes for a multi-modal Knowledge Graph by integrating information from internal and external data and knowledge bases for analytical and AI/ML model consumption.
Work with different data producers and owners to implement framework and processes effectively.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design and implement data management strategies ensuring the quality, organization, and accessibility of our multi-omic data.
Required Experience and Skills:
PhD in a relevant field such as computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of experience in genomic technologies, multi-omics analysis, therapeutics sciences, and disease biology OR MS in relevant field with 10+ years of experience OR BS in relevant field with 14+ years of experience
Strong understanding of multi-omic data, including analysis techniques, algorithms, statistical approaches, and relevant tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in data analysis and machine learning libraries.
Good knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing standardized analytical workflows and processes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred experience:
Experience with Knowledge Graphs, including graph databases and query languages, would be advantageous.
Hands-on experience with omics data generation is a plus.
Strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, patents, or other evidence of innovative expertise.

JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Data Analytics reports to the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics, and serves as a conduit of strategy and process to support the vison and goals for University Advancement Analytics program. Collaborate and partner with individuals across UA to provide expansion and growth for analytic processes and metric needs for UA data. Function as lead analyst, managing the two Senior Data Analysts by building structure and maintaining data analytics and reporting needs for University Advancement.
Understand, articulate, interpret, and apply strategy to unique, moderately complex business problems. In collaboration with the Advancement Technology team and the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics, identify and recommend integrations and architecture to support the functional use of data for data analytics throughout Advancement. Utilize an understanding of existing Advancement-specific statistical models and find growth in identifying and recommending statistical models based on hypothesis, identifying patterns, trends, outliers, and correlations. Apply comprehensive knowledge of Data Management tools, techniques, and programing languages to transfer knowledge to Senior Data Analysts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and six years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

1) Manage Data Analytics program
• Demonstrate the ability to articulate, interpret, and apply strategy to unique Northeastern Advancement complex business problems

• Lead functional staff member for applicable software needs and technologies to best serve the Advancement Data Analytics Team
• Direct contact representative for the Data Analytics Team with vendors, consultants for software systems, and technologies used by the Advancement Data Analytics Team; make recommendations to the Director for improvements in technologies and systems
• Organizer and person of contact within the Analytics team for any projects with Central UDS or other Analytic Cross Campus Partners
4) Management
• Manage all data analytic projects by assigning out to Senior Data Analysts and maintaining timelines and adjustments for additional requests
• Manage current team’s skillset, provide guidance in professional development plans, track and oversee SMART goals for management and employee performance appraisals
• Provide strategic guidance to Senior Analysts on preferred project methodology protocols in alignment with the Data Strategy and Analytics team and Advancement business
• Serve as key report to the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics on the progress of yearly analytical goals, making recommendations when business needs shift

A Snapshot
As the Regional Data Centre Director reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Centre Operations, you will work closely with the Operations team, making your mark in a number of ways:
· Oversees all aspects of data centre operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 data centre operation to achieve 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs.
· Provides support and technical advice to the Data Centre Operations Directors and site teams in all aspects of their roles to ensure efficient and successful data centre operations
Your Day to Day
· Reports and documents operational strategy improvements to ensure the highest level of availability and operational efficiency is achieved for the portfolio.
· Acts as a key escalation contact, both internally and externally, for emergency events impacting data centre services including technical, operational and security.
· Provides support to the Data Centre Directors and site teams to facilitate emergency responses procedures, resource coordination, customer communication, root cause analysis and post event remediation.
· Develop strong relationships with customer operational management contacts.
· Provides support to drive thorough root cause analysis and produce detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders
· In conjunction with Data Centre Directors and site teams responsible for contractual compliance, including SLA management, for 3rd party vendors including; FM Services, Smart Hands & Security vendors as well as any other 3rd party vendors (including soft services) engaged directly by AirTrunk.
· Responsible for managing internal audits of standard operating procedures, sequence of operations and maintenance standards to guarantee compliance with AirTrunk and industry standards.
· Oversees the local change management processes and other documentation required by law, e.g. SWMS, including review and approval of Method of Procedures (MOPs) to support the Facilities Managers
· Ensures adherence to security programs across the data centre portfolio. • In conjunction with Data Centre Directors and site teams responsible for ensuring the operating standards of the data centre supports various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, ISO 27001, SOC1, SOC 2 etc. as may be required by AirTrunk.
· Oversees data centre operations to maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements including environmental, building, fire, electrical, hydraulic, occupational health & safety.
· Supports the Operations Directors with OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, forecasting and reporting requirements.
· Ensures data centre budgets stay within financial targets.
· Ensures adherence to financial control procedures for the data centres.
· Presents improvements that generate operational and financial efficiencies, including the development and presentation of the business case, to the wider Management team.
· Prepares reporting of operational metrics, data and risks for Management oversight and control for both day-to-day reporting and long-term trend analysis.
· Support the Global Head of Operations for the overall strategic planning, long term goals and management responsibilities of the Operations Team.
· This role is the direct line manager for the Operations Directors and is responsible for ensuring optimum data centre performance across the portfolio
· 7 years or more experience in a critical facilities environment is a must
· 3 years or more experience directly managing employees
· Procurement and contract negotiation experience
· Electrical or mechanical trade background not essential but highly desirable
· Leadership & Communication Skills – Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex operational documents
· Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, CAPEX/OPEX budget forecasts/reports and O&M manuals.
· Ability to deliver effective presentations on data centre operations to customers, peers and management

Key Requirements:
- The ideal candidate possesses proven design experience in regional metropolises, holds a practicing certificate as a Mechanical Professional Engineer
- Has at least 10 years of experience in design consultancy, including a minimum of 5 years in a principal engineer position.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and influencing skills are essential.

Team: Managed Investment Data Team
The Role
The pursuit of quality at Morningstar is deeply ingrained in our culture and it is a key part of the value we bring our clients. The Director of Quality leads a team responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs and ensures effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures in place and adhered to. The Director of Quality will create a culture of client-centric quality, where all data quality goals are from the perspective of the user. The Director of Quality will collaborate with peers in the same role for other data types at Morningstar to drive global best in class data quality. This role will also work closely with audit and benchmarking Data team leaders and global stakeholders to ensure that all the agreed deliverables from the team are met, and that the team is fully equipped in terms of training and documentation. This role reports to the Head of Managed Investment Data.
Responsibilities:
• Measure, build, sustain, and own the quality framework and processes across the Managed Investment content set that help us deliver quality data to clients.
• Build and lead an internal data quality team emphasizing content expertise and client-centric measurements of quality.
• Own the success of the quality health review and certification program.
• Aggregate data quality metrics and deliver holistic data health updates to internal stakeholders, with action plans for continued success.
• Own the data quality testing suites. Define the priority of future testing suites for Data Technology. Establish an operating model in which we proactively identify bugs and introduce new tests for each bug identified and for all new developments
• Oversee the management of day-to-day activities of team to develop and implement the quality framework of key global Managed Investment database.
• Accountable for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity and efficiency of the teams and the delivery of the operational performance KPIs, for team engagement, morale, and supporting the build for growth ladders of members.
• Serve as an escalation point for critical quality assurance issues.
• Partner closely with Data Operations team leaders to conduct root cause analysis, and track implementation of process improvements based on findings and measure impact
• Define requirements for quality dashboards for Managed Investment Data and collaborate with the Enterprise Data Platform team and other Quality Directors to bring these dashboards into a consistent data quality dashboard.
• Define metrics to assess the effectiveness of our quality testing suites
• Partner with the Director of Customer Support to identify data quality defects via patterns in client tickets and establish test cases to mitigate future defects.
• Identify and prioritize auditing and benchmarking opportunities across Managed Investment Data. Coordinate with the central auditing and benchmarking team to have them scheduled. Monitor progress of executing on action items after the audit RCA.
• Monitor the industry for quality control methods and propose future areas of investment for Morningstar to reach and sustain best in class quality.
Requirements:
• A broad and comprehensive understanding of investment and financial data sets.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, including experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• 5+ years of experience managing a team
• 5+ years of experience working directly with data technology squad(s).
• Demonstrated ability to partner with product managers to understand the needs of the user and translate those user needs into data quality goals
• Demonstrated ability to write and execute SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data matters correctly and clearly to internal and external consumers.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt.
• Experience with data visualization software, such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience managing a global team.
