Key Accountabilities

• Create designs for technical solutions to resolve business problems and try out components of new systems for efficiency
• Reach out to clients and project leaders in the course of work in order to identify and evaluate user and business requirements
• Ensure clean and accurate documentation that may include aspects such as business requirements, client requirements, and technical specifications, and write findings in form of reports
• Ensure that all documents are safely kept and accessible for future reference
• Assist with new releases, and approve all User Acceptance Testing
• Oversee implementation of a new system including data migration

• Be the IT Application owner incl.ownership of all Azure and other technology resources (AD Groups, PIDs, etc)

Build and maintain modern data pipelines that make data available and accessible to the global company

• Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes for our data.
• Solving and supporting build, test, and deployment incidents if they happen
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and processes.
• Supervise and resolve operational issues related to infrastructure and data pipelines

Handling of ad-hoc request including:

• User query on mapping table/suspense records/policy extraction/User acceptance test cycle/New Product Launch.
• Compliance review.
• Disaster recovery drill.
• Document/process updates.
• System improvement for new requirements, system defects and system software upgrade

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and demonstrated ability in data engineering, Azure cloud and power platform
• 2 years experience in architecting data solutions on Azure cloud platform and experience in software development
• A proven experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and solid grasp of Tableau administration/architecture.
• Proficiency in big data, analytics, database management, event driven, microservices, DevOps and/or machine learning operation in Azure cloud
• Experience with complex Data warehouse, data modelling, ETL design, and using large databases in a business environment
• Experience with Azure, Databricks ,PySpark and Spark SQL
• Experience with Tableau desktop and tableau server admin
• Good knowledge of azure resources standard processes, have critical thinking on quality software / product

About the Role:

Kasagi Labo is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead our engineering teams in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. We are building a technology platform that utilizes Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Blockchain to enable billions of fans to continuously discover the anime they love, connect with creators, and with each other, and ultimately purchase high-end, authentic merchandise. 

As one of the technical leaders in the company, you will be responsible for the overall development life-cycle and delivery of a cloud-native, multi-tenant content delivery and social networking platform.  

What you can expect to work on:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in multiple locations to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Define and implement technical strategies and best practices for the development team.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of the platform.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage the development pipeline to meet business objectives and deadlines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of development efforts with product requirements.
• Monitor project progress and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product management to define product roadmaps and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product features and functionality.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• 5-6 years experience as a software engineer, with a track record of leading projects
• Proficiency building SPA (e.g., React.js, Next.js on Vercel, JavaScript, TypeScript) or native mobile applications in either Android or iOS
• Proficiency in either Go, Python, or a JVM-based language such as Java, Kotlin
• Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience managing a team is a plus
