What an Online Marketplaces Business Development Manager does at HP:
- Formulate and execute marketplace strategies and develop & align Joint Business Plans (JBP).
- Deliver monthly plans for revenue growth and ensure profit targets are met across both 1P & 3P business models.
- Hyper grow and accelerate HP Brand official store in marketplaces, work closely with 3P HP Online Authorized Retail Partner (OARP) sellers, and PBMs to improve their profitability and catalog coverage.
- Coordinating across functional teams (category and channel organization) to drive sales strategies to grow our Marketplace business, to achieve sales/ revenue targets.
- Develop and implement a strategic product roadmap, working closely with relevant Category Managers and Buyers.
- In conjunction with HP’s marketing teams, design and execute effective promotions strategy to push sales numbers as well as uplift visibility and awareness of HP across marketplaces, with a focus on driving sales,
- Critically analyze sales performance to identify action points, opportunities, and threats to drive topline revenue.
- Tracking and analyzing marketplace trends, operations, and systems identifying processes to optimize
- Build strategic partnerships with Marketplace platforms, including relationships with the C-level. Plus, with HP’s distribution partners.
- Communicating with senior management on the status, risks, and performance of marketplace programs and adjusting strategic roadmaps accordingly.
- Maintains broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with Customer Executives.
- Provide support to the Qualified Marketplaces (QMP) or OARP, Marketplaces Partner Approved (MPA 2.0) and Analytical Business Intelligence programs.
- Promote CX improvements and optimizations in top marketplaces to help increase Conversion Rate and Sales
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis for decision-making.
- Support presentations, storytelling, staff meetings, and meetings with internal and external partners
- Structure analytical approaches and develop project strategies and tactics.
- Support the development of project guidelines, objectives, and deliverables
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- University or Bachelor's degree preferred. Directly related previous work experience.
- Demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota.
- Extensive vertical industry knowledge required.
- Typically 5-8 years advanced sales experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of marketplace platforms business objectives, organizational structure, business processes, and financial structure.
- Considerable knowledge of the customer's infrastructure and architecture of the platform algorithm.
