Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement management for construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction contracts and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, including architectural and interior design plans.
• Prepare tender documentation, request for quotation, and cost analysis.
• Create detailed cost estimates, considering materials, finishes, labor, and other expenses specific to interior design projects.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and material quantities for pricing and procurement.
• Source and acquire quotations from contractors, suppliers, and vendors for cost assessment and analysis.
• Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Evaluate and compare quotations, preparing reports and recommendations for contractor and supplier selection.
• Collaborate closely with the design team, consultants, contractors, and suppliers for effective project delivery.
• Prepare interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts for project cost tracking.
• Manage subcontractor payments, ensuring timely and accurate certification.
• Resolve contractual and commercial disputes, including claims management and settlement negotiation.
• Maintain organized documentation filing systems for contracts, invoices, and project-related documents.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in interior design construction and cost management.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the design & build industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).

Job Description

• Implement and support for IT system (OS - Windows/AIX/Unix/AS400)
• Perform Backup and Restore services when required
• Implement and support storage systems such as tape libraries, VTL, SAN Storage etc..
• Implement and support replication tools such as Veeam, MIMIX, MAXAVA, PowerHA etc.
• Implement a good security measure for Operating System such as SSL, authority settings, user profile management etc..
• Provide good customer service with sound advice and technical skills

Job Criteria

• Knowledge in maintaining AIX or AS400/IBM i systems would be preferred
• Knowledge in replication product such as Veeam, MIMIX, MAXAVA, PowerHA would be highly considered
• Knowledge on SAN Storage such as IBM, EMC, Hitachi storages
• Basic knowledge in database

ACCOUNT MANAGER   

The Account Manager plays a crucial role as a bridge between the agency and its clients. This position involves managing client relationships, understanding the client's needs, and ensuring the successful execution of communication campaigns. This role requires the person to have great project management skills, coordinating with various internal and external teams to deliver high-quality output and maintain client satisfaction. 
 
Key Responsibilities  

• Client Liaison: Address client concerns, serve as a client advocate within the agency, and consistently seek feedback to improve client satisfaction.  
• Campaign Management & Project Coordination: Develop and manage detailed project plans, monitoring campaign performance, and foster collaboration among teams for successful campaigns. Account

- To handle full sets of accounts.

- Responsible for monthly and yearly financial closing

- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.

- Manage the day to day business operations of the Account Department

Structural Engineer

• Scrutinise accuracy of calculations, drawings and reports and ensure quality standards are adhered.

• Liaison with third party engineering firms on tasks involving non-standard engineering issues and collaborates with project team to resolve problems by contributing significant new designs and techniques.

A DAY IN A LIFE

• As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
• Research and analysis on industry benchmarks to identify market leaders, best practises and identify how this could be applied to improve Teleport’s Business lines;
• Research and analysis on macro and microeconomics factors that is impacting the industry and understanding how this can significantly impact Teleport’s goals and objectives;
• Having a deep understanding of the key levers of the business lines and applying market and industry factors that will “move the needle” and impact Teleports objectives and financials;
• Work closely with business and enabler leaders, to understand how operations impacts the business and ensure business and operations team are aligned with our long term goal and objective;
• Collaborating with cross-functional departments independently (all departments including operations) to identify gaps in the business and providing solutions “looking at the bigger picture” (taking into consideration long-term goals and objectives);
• Monitoring profitability of all entities under Teleport Group to ensure revenue and profits are maximised with cost contained;
• Making key decisions around how capital or working capital (internally generated through EBITDA or external funding) are redeployed into the business. Balancing between growth, scale and profitability;
• Building, monitoring and constantly reviewing financial models for Teleport Group;
• Building dashboards for FP&A reportings - single source of truth;
• Preparation of monthly reports - key messaging, financial and operational performances (not financial consolidation reports/reporting packages) for external (bankers, investors, etc) and internal stakeholders (Management, Shareholders, Capital A, Airlines);
• Preparation and review of forecasts and budgets
• Manage and align objectives and work closely along the other 2 team members (finance business partners)
• Implement and coordinate ad-hoc finance business initiatives
