Detailed Description and other Job Requirements:

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services.

A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

As a first-level manager who has performed technical or professional duties in a client support environment, a significant component of your duties will entail gaining knowledge of policies affecting staff and in development of effective management skills.

You will interact frequently with customers and other managers. Bottom line, you will establish and communicate departmental objectives and implement plans to assure attainment of goals. You will be a knowledge expert of all areas related to Support for other lines of business. Your team is likely to be comprised primarily of technical or other professionals.

• Gather and check cost quotations against specification

Project management:

• Ensure implementation of the best and fastest project schedules and processes
• Responsible for orderly & effective process and quality documentation
• Develop project related materials
• Key contact for liaison with suppliers
• Effectively communicate project needs to suppliers

Analysis/reporting:

• Collect general client information (e.g., newspaper articles/ industry reports) to share with team and input to analysis
• Responsible for timely and quality deliverables
• Assist in presenting findings to clients for smaller projects

Development of Client relationships:

• Start to develop a clear understanding of client business strategy and how our company can contribute
• Begin planning for client needs
• Work with the team to deliver on client requests

Financial management:

• Propose cost saving solutions when possible
• Highlight costs and budget concerns with team to achieve on-budget projects
• Assist in costing and monitoring GM and profit on projects

Leadership, team and people management:

• Ensure directions are clear and questions where appropriate
• Take responsibility for own learning and development
• Promote team spirit

Role Outline

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.
