THE ROLE
The Lead Data Engineer will be working with the relevant project team to lead the development and optimisation of data and analytics architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection to deliver integrated and quality business information and reporting solutions.
Reporting to the Head - Data Solutions, key responsibilities for this role include:
Develop, test, and maintain data and analytics architecture, including databases and large-scale processing systems, for optimal extraction, transformation and upload of data from multiple sources and different technologies.
Work with the stakeholders to support their data infrastructure requirements and assist with resolving technical issues.
Provide Technical leadership of the implementation of data and/or integration solutions for complex enterprise systems within complex multistakeholder and formalised project delivery environments.
Deploy models into production using CI/CD pipelines.
Reverse and forward engineer data assets.
Build data acquisition, ingestion pipeline, and data lake capability.
Recommend improvements to data reliability, efficiency, and quality, and provide high quality data assets for enterprise use.
Identify, design, and implement process improvement to automate processes, optimise data delivery, and achieve infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
Collate, process, transform, and model raw data from multiple sources, and utilise different data sourcing, integration, and modelling techniques.
Pilot, demonstrate and evaluate useability of new technologies and systems,
Design and update user guides, technical specifications and Process flow documents for all applications and tools.
Creation and maintenance of artefacts relating to data models (e.g. DDLs, mapping of data, DMLs, Data Dictionaries, Change Registers etc.)
Assisting in the development and continuous improvement of data modelling and principles, processes, and standards
Assisting in the implementation of data asset standards, and in the implementation of related data asset governance processes

THE ROLE
The Lead Data Modeller will be working with the relevant project team to lead the development and implementation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the creation of strategic analytical data assets and provide data modelling expertise and leadership.
Reporting to the Head - Data Solutions, key responsibilities for this role include:
Define, develop, and implement the Enterprise Data Model (for assigned PMO Project) across Macquarie University and its entities, including defining, managing, and communicating the Enterprise Data Model roadmap.
Work with key stakeholders to understand business analytical requirements and lead the work to map them into logical and physical data models within relevant modelling tools as per the agreed standards.
Create and maintain artefacts relating to data models (e.g., DDLs, mapping of data, DMLs, Data Dictionaries, Change Registers, etc.)
Implement robust processes to govern the development and maintenance of the data models.
Provide data modelling expertise and leadership to the engineering teams responsible for building the data assets and to the analytical teams using them to deliver insights, as well as proactively driving the resolution of any delivery issues relating to the Enterprise Data Model.
Resolve production issues relating to Data Vault and Dimensional models and related conformed data layers.
Responsible for proactively identifying data quality issues and managing these in collaboration with the BIR Team.
Develop and continuously improve data modelling principles, processes, and standards, ensuring alignment with the broader MQ IT architectural principles, and delivery processes and standards and that documentation is properly managed including the maintenance of data catalogue.
Work with the project and wider BIR team and MQ IT in the development and implementation of data asset standards and governance processes.
Support the Project Team and BIR leadership in defining the overall data strategy.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with project team, stakeholders, executives and working groups.

THE ROLE
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for functional and technical leadership and provides both strategic and transactional support and advice in relation to data analytics that enable evidence-based decision making.
Reporting to the Head - Enterprise Analytics, key responsibilities for this role include:
Provide functional and technical leadership and specialist support of data analytics that enable evidence-based decision making.
Responsible for multiple or all aspects of strategic planning, consultancy, requirements analysis, design, build and configuration, test, change management and training, release management, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance of associated analytics platforms and technologies.
Provide advice to MQ clients and MQ IT leadership in relevant analytics platforms and technologies, including identification and evaluation of emerging technologies and trends that have the potential to create value, the identification of business and technology risks, and opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.

THE ROLE
The Role
The Clinical Trials Associate (CTA) is specialist role supporting the fast paced Clinical Trials team with biological sample processing, trial equipment maintenance and operational support with trial documentation. The broad and varied CTA role will report to the Clinical Trials Associate Manager. Some of the key accountabilities of the role are to:
Process, store and ship biological samples collected from clinical trial patients and oversee processing of samples on your allocated trials by other staff
Develop strong relationships with sponsors, couriers and central labs to facilitate safe shipment and viability of samples
Maintain lab consumable stock levels
Liaise with pathology centres to arrange shipment of archived tissue samples
Collect and maintain paperwork documenting clinical trials according to strict regulations
Ensure maintenance of clinical trial equipment
Maintain GCP compliant clinical trial documentation
Provide administrative support as required
About You
You will be a team player with great interpersonal skills, extraordinary attention to detail, and have well developed laboratory skills. Your ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, identify problems and process solutions will see you succeed in this role. You will be passionate about working in clinical trials.

The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is part of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) at Macquarie University. FMHHS also has the Macquarie Medical School, the Macquarie University Private Hospital, and runs patient clinics, labs, imaging and a pharmacy all on campus in close proximity to support clinical trials, and support providing patients with access to state of the art treatments. The CTU undertakes sponsored and investigator initiated Phase I to IV trials across multiple therapeutic areas with multiple Principal Investigators. Provide psycho-social assessments, care planning and coaching for students presenting to Student Wellbeing with the aim of connecting students to appropriate support effectively and efficiently.
Assist with critical incident management, by providing support and care planning for students impacted by critical incidents.
Identify, assess, evaluate and report on potential risks in line with professional and University policies including reporting intentions of harm to self/others; and/or those reporting first symptoms of psychosis; and/or matters reported in relation to sexual assault, sexual harassment, or other inappropriate and unwanted behaviours
Coordinate referrals of at-risk students escalated to external health providers (e.g. Emergency Services, General Practitioners).
Participate in a rotating ‘on-call’ roster as the ‘emergency responder’ for the University in response to after-hours referrals for student support and critical events.
Partner with senior clinical staff to facilitate, implement and evaluate an evidence-based service delivery model including support the development of appropriate resources and relationships across the University.
Act as the relationship manager and primary point of contact with third party agencies (e.g. 1800 CARE MQ 24/7 telephone service provider) and support regular evaluation of the service delivery partnership.
Provide supervision and training to administrative staff when responding to students with urgent and complex clinical needs.
Maintain and record all student contacts conducted on relevant clinical systems. Analyse and report on this data.

THE ROLE
The Accessibility Advisor will provide specialist and escalated support and advice to students and to develop, schedule and facilitate adjustments and programs in multiple formats for students with accessability needs.
Reporting to the Manager - Accessibility, key accountabilities of this role include:
Assess and monitor reasonable adjustments for students with a disability that meet statutory requirements.

THE ROLE
The Clinical Trials Quality Manager is a leadership role providing clinical trial regulation expertise to ensure a continued focus on quality and compliance. The role is responsible for our quality management system, and coordination and tracking of staff training. It has 2 direct reports and 6 indirect reports:
Quality Management System: Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) program to ensure consistency of practice to the highest quality standards across clinical trials, and to ensure compliance with ICH GCP, regulatory requirements, Ethics committees and Macquarie University (MQ) policies and procedures.
Process Improvement: Drive system and process reviews and improvement initiatives to optimise trial quality and compliance.
Audit and Inspection Management: Oversee preparation for audits and inspections, and responses to audits and inspections to ensure appropriate follow up of any findings including sharing learning across relevant staff in the CTU.
Staff training: Oversee comprehensive training needs assessments and implementation and tracking of training programs meeting personal development requirements, as well as tracking and overseeing routine repeat trainings (ICH-GCP, Basic Life Support and safe laboratory sample handling and shipping etc).
Workforce development: Oversee the clinical trial trainee program ensuring a pipeline of trained staff for entry level positions in the CTU.
Leadership: contribute to strategic planning, team culture and CTU leadership and drive a continuous improvement culture and quality mindset in the CTU.

You will have extensive experience working on sponsored clinical trials ideally in a quality role. You will have experience managing, training and mentoring. You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems. You will have the ability to lead and deliver on projects involving risk management and process improvement in a clinical trial setting. You will be passionate about working in clinical trials.

The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is part of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) at Macquarie University. FMHHS also has the Macquarie Medical School, the Macquarie University Private Hospital, and runs patient clinics, labs, imaging and a pharmacy all on campus in close proximity to support clinical trials, and support providing patients with access to state of the art treatments. The CTU undertakes sponsored and investigator initiated Phase I to IV trials across multiple therapeutic areas with multiple Principal Investigators. Our current team of over 60 staff (managing over 120 trials) are a close knit inclusive team with a supportive culture that values team work and innovation.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic (DVC-A) is the chief academic officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive with overall responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of education provided to Macquarie's undergraduate and graduate students.
Within the DVC(A), the Dean of Students has overall responsibility for student support services and student experience including Student Engagement, Equity, Diversity and Belonging, Complaints and Misconduct and Student Wellbeing Services.
