We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer to take an advanced role in the software engineering team utilizing Node.Js, React and PostgreSQL as part of our Market proposition within the GfK ecosystem.
Bring suggestions and ideas on how to solve our customers' problems in the best way
Be current with the latest trends in industry and academia and always look to implement novel ideas in GfK's predictive analytics solutions
Work closely with Engineering and Product managers to translate business use cases to workable solutions that can be delivered to Production
Work with the architects and an Agile team to influence the overall system architecture and performance goals
Ensure timely delivery of software projects while promoting and maintaining high quality
Ensure high software quality by writing unit and integration tests in TDD approach
Suggest initiatives (e.g. training) that improve working efficiency and quality
Actively contributing in agile practices, such as estimating and planning and retrospectives
3+ years of commercial software development experience in Node.JS, React and PostgreSQL
The ability to build clean, well encapsulated packages to a high standard.
The ability to write unit tests and what's the good and bad sides of measuring code coverage.
Good understanding on using version control tools like gitlab/ github/ bitbucket including its pipeline configuration
Full vocabulary of core creational, structural and behavioral software design patterns, and the ability to consistently employ the cache, pool, strategy, chain of responsibility, observer and visitor patterns as appropriate
The ability to effectively manage code complexity in a large code base through the appropriate application of software architecture principles (layering, modularisation, etc.) and software design patterns
Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
Experience in unit and end-to-end testing, mocking frameworks (Jest, Cypress, RTL,Playright etc)

Job Description
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for the regional commercial activities associated with their nominated regional accounts and local accounts, accountable for achieving the target set by GfK. These accounts will be large technology companies, focusing on online advertising, consumer electronics and other products and services. Reporting to the UK Commercial Director, the RAM closely collaborates with the Global Account Managers and other GfK sales representatives to reach these financial targets for their Accounts. Being accountable for business development with GfK’s key accounts, the RAM provides transparency on business performance, accurate pipeline and forecasts and to identify reasons for potential result deviations. A key task is to lead, orchestrate and manage opportunities, contracts and relationship directly for their client’s organization (be that local or regional).
RAMs regional responsibilities:
Highlight potential and win new business opportunities for GfK
Client negotiations both for new sales and renewals
Create a regional view and feedback on GfK products and services that are relevant for their Accounts and the right way to promote these to clients including: product offers, pricing, & marketing campaigns
Reinforce GfKs value proposition and develop trust to enable future business opportunities. Proactively lead regional and local pitches where necessary to ensure powerful proposals and convincing presentations are delivered globally
RAM’s are to support the creating and maintenance of the account plans, identify opportunities and developing action plans to achieve client engagement leading to revenue growth
Increase client connections at a regional level and in key markets in terms of quantity (no. of relevant contacts) and quality (e.g. by realizing clients’ business challenges, by getting a seat on clients’ table for strategic decisions, by getting aware of clients’ financial processes that impact GfK business). Developing access to senior stakeholders with global budget sign-off is a key success factor.
Orchestrate and review opportunities for regular sales pipeline and status of achieving targets Support to enhance local client specific stakeholder mappings in terms of quantity (no. of relevant contacts) and quality (client intimacy)
Build virtual teams and meeting routines to ensure mutual update on overall account progress on a global level and in line with the Account's own organization and business needs
Run Quarterly Business Reviews with the client’s senior stakeholders to ensure GfK’s value is clearly understood, we are aware of the client’s satisfaction level and that we can enter global contract negotiations with a full understanding of the Client’s position as it relates to GfK’s contract

Job Description
1. Develop and maintain excellent professional relationship with the customer and ensure positive response on their reported concerns

The Panel Quality Specialist is an operational role, reporting to the Panel Quality Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the quality of GfK's Point of Sales (POS) data.
