Job Description Summary
The role, Director – Front Office, is a member of the Treasury team of GE Vernova HQ. Treasury is responsible for GE Vernova’s activities within Financial Reporting and Risk, Exposure Management, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Business Treasury, Insurance and Transaction Services.
This role reports to the Head of Front Office, under the Vernova Treasurer.
As Director – Front Office, you will be responsible for the execution of hedges and investments. The team is specifically responsible for executing hedges, as requested in order to mitigate foreign exchange (FX) exposures, commodity exposures and any other market risks that arise across multiple markets. All of the above are to be executed in compliance with internal policies and guidelines as well as external regulations and codes of conduct.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Execution of relevant hedging instruments, including:
· FX Spots, Swaps, Forwards and Options across a large number of international currencies in both offshore and onshore jurisdictions
· Commodity Derivatives, including swaps and options
· Any other derivatives that are required to hedge the company’s exposure
· Execution of investments in approved products and within counterparty limits
· Interface with derivative bank counterparties to ensure market access to all required products and markets
· Keep up to date on all market activities and regulatory changes. Keep the businesses informed of any market developments that can impact their ability to hedge or the cost of their hedging
· Partner with other Treasury HQ functions and Business Teams to provide exposure management strategic support. Work on creating strategic solutions to address complex issues that could impact the organization’s profitability
· Partner with the Exposure Management Team to provide strategic hedge strategy recommendations in line with overarching company goals
· Source indicative pricing for business teams and provide financial market insight as needed. This will include depth of market, liquidity and / or credit charges where applicable
· Exercise a high level of judgement in order to make timely decisions and handle complex tasks or issues that impact the team. Have a proven ability to quickly assess the validity of exposures and / or hedge requests, and ask pertinent questions of stakeholders to ensure appropriate actions taken if required
· Work closely with Inter-Company Funding Team on loans, divestments, and equity infusions, where large FX actions are required
· Lead and / or participate in strategic projects where large-scale cross-functional collaboration is required
· Work closely with the business and HQ Exposure Management teams to net trades where possible to achieve best execution
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration / finance / economics or similar field; or equivalent knowledge or experience
· Significant experience, preferably in Corporate Treasury, Financial Services or Banking Institutions
· Experience of FX and Commodity hedging markets
Desired Characteristics
· Strong understanding of exposure strategy and derivative execution

· Experience in regulatory and management reporting systems
· Familiarity with treasury systems to drive efficiencies and standardization through digital technology
