General Manager, Global Components – Montreal Branch

Increase management presence at customer accounts in order to achieve access to decision makers.

Serves as a main liaison from branch to corporate stakeholders including finance, marketing, asset management and supply chain.
What we’re looking for:
A minimum of 10 years of proven sales and sales leadership experience with a 3-year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working for an electrical component distributor, manufacturers rep for components or component manufacturer
5+ years of experience working with manufacturers reps for electronic components or IP&E products
Knowledge of Semiconductor and IP&E suppliers
Prior success leading, mentoring, and motivating a field sales team
Experience within electronics distribution is strongly preferred
Strong business acumen and budgetary management experience

Under moderate supervision is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the infrastructure. About the role
As Market Development Engineer specializing in IP&E technologies (Interconnect, Passive, and Electromechanical), you will determine, develop, scale, and lead the implementation of successful, comprehensive solution programs that accelerate market, sales, and profit growth within the associated Arrow Vertical Market /Business segment.
The MDE will be held responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy in assigned markets or business segments.
The MDE will serve as a conduit between the various Arrow & Supplier business units and functional organizations to lead, develop and implement successfully technology + commercial programs leading to sales and profit growth within this assigned market/business segment.

You will specialize in key market segments and technologies of the business, as assigned within the dedicated Vertical
You will own the go-to-market strategy plan for the assigned market/business segment
Conduct business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT, and product positioning
Collaborate with the BU on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support the assigned market
Work with supplier, product management, and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements, and priorities
Create, gain approvals for, and execute (upon approval) comprehensive products and service offers
Contribute to the development of communication programs and materials for use in business development
