The Role Responsibilities

Global Implementation is responsible for the delivery of the Bank’s Transaction Banking (TB) product and services to clients within the agreed contractual service agreements, and that all digital integrations are as seamless as possible. The team is client-facing and provides technical solution advisory on client implementation as part of RFP/RFI responses, client pitches and end-to-end implementation cycle, supporting and onboarding clients, providing project management support (i.e. ensure smooth flow of the project, capturing issues and risks, maintaining action plans with follow ups, and delivering a timely solution to meet the client’s expectations) and account management support (i.e. understanding clients’ business strategy and needs) to support implementation of TB products.

The candidate is responsible to drive and execute the strategy of TB Global Implementation in all aspects while working closely with Regional and TB Centre Heads/Leads in ensuring both clients and internal teams are provided with the best technical advisory support for TB Products and Channels solutions. The candidate will need to support end-to-end client implementation, including providing technical solutioning and security protocol advisory, keeping in touch with the latest technology developments and industry best practices, perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis contributing to resolution of technical issues related to the implementation, and continuously improving client satisfaction and drive revenue realisation. The candidate is also responsible in leading a sub-team of Technical Advisory Specialists who are based in various locations and ensure that the team continues to provide best-in-class technical advisory to clients for our TB Products and Channels solutions.

Strategy

· Drive Global Implementation Strategy and actively participate in identifying opportunities to uplift and/or re-establish the profile/identity of the Global Implementation team

- Advanced knowledge and understanding in various disciplines: web application security, mobile app security, network security, operating system internals and hardening, applied cryptography, cloud computing. You're expected to be an expert in at least one of these areas.

- Solid experience in writing and reviewing code in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript (Node JS), Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust.

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is an open defined benefit scheme, which is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme. We manage around £4.5 billion of assets for our 40,000 members.

We are looking for someone to provide expert advice and to support the Pensions Manager in the interpretation of new pensions legislative requirements and statutory data improvements, so that we meet our current and future regulatory requirements.

You will complement our Administration & Communications team with focus on managing legislative requirements and outputs from our Third-Party Pensions Administrator (TPA), Capita and manage and integrate these requirements with the Pension Fund.

You will be responsible for the Scheme Events work stream and provide oversight on important regulatory projects that includes the McCloud remedy and Pensions Dashboard, all underpinned by a data improvement plan.

Working closely with the Pensions Administration Manager and Pensions Engagement Specialist, you will issue annual pension statements to active and deferred members and pension saving statements in a timely fashion as well as provide direct support to members on pensions tax rules.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be asked to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

Experience/skills required

You will have proven experience of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) preferably demonstrating a level of seniority and understanding of LGPS regulations and pensions administration. You will be able to explain complex pensions issues in an accessible and understandable way, both to members and Scheme employers.

You will need to understand and deliver new legislative requirements that includes the McCloud remedy and develop our data improvement plan in readiness for Pensions Dashboard.
