Job Responsibilities:


Finance Operation

  • Lead and complete month-end closing and handling the full set of accounts
  • Responsible for financial and accounting functions of the company
  • Responsible for accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Review management reports, financial statement and statutory financial statements
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control
  • Make recommendation and continuous improvements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory filing requirements as well as reporting inline with the company’s policy and procedures
  • Support of monthly annual budget, forecast activities and reporting
  • Liaise with company secretary, auditors, tax agents and bankers
  • Assist in preparation of materials for Board meetings
  • Assist with any other tasks as and when assigned


Reporting

  • Responsible for preparation of management reporting on key financial and operating indicators on timely manner and in accurate basis
  • Prepare periodic reports, comparing budgeted costs and quarterly forecast to actual costs, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance
  • Tracking progress of business performance, KPIs and provide insights to other departments
  • Lead the implementation of advanced technology and software to improve financial reporting, analysis and controls, including create reports through electronic spreadsheets
  • Independently drive solutions and demand actions from others to address any unexpected gap variances or gaps
  • Ad-hoc analysis as assigned by the management from time to time


Skills and Qualification Requirements:


  • Degree in Accountancy or pursuing a professional qualification
  • At least 5 years of working experience in finance or management or any similar role
  • Experience at least 3 – 4 years in Big 4 would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin would be an optional.
