About the company
Our client is a integrated transport and logistics company,providing international freight forwarding and logistics services across Asia, Australia and Europe/America continents. Currently they have an opportunity with one opening for the right person  to manage their 3PL facilities located at West Port and/or North Port in Port Klang area. They are looking for an experienced and inspirational leader to lead a warehouse operation team in North Port and West Port, Port Klang.
Job role & Responsibilities
As Executive for the warehouse operation activities, the role is hands on and varied and it is imperative that leadership is displayed by hands on approach to all aspects which will involve picking and packing clients orders in a high volume and high pressure  environment, maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse, dispatching of freight of freight using computerised software. This role requires to deputise for Warehouse Operations Manager as and when required.
The overall responsibilities will be:
-Manage and responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the warehouse.
-Manage and direct inbound/outbound operations/shipments, oversee inventory functions and direct, lead and revise the  implementation of contingency plans,if required.
-Ensure customer orders are despatched in accordance with the agreed service agreement.
-To manage and supervise a team of warehouse staff to carry out and support daily operation activities, ensuring effective distribution and inventory system within the logistics facilities. 
-Responsible for the overall warehouse inventory accuracy and annual stock take and integrity.
-Ensure that all operations at the warehouse are compliant to safety,environmental and health standards.
Candidate profile requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will be well organised with 3-5 years experience in warewhouse operations. picking and packing ,customer services or similar environment preferred, and have the ability to communicate effectively with their team and customers.
-Male preferred; age 30-40.
-Diploma or degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Business.
-A forklift licence would be ideal,useful and beneficial.
-Experience in managing a 3PL facility a hugh advantage.
-Demonstrated supervisory in previous experience of managing 3PL warehouse operations is preferred.
-Knowledge of both warehouse and logistics practices.
-Good communication and people management skills.
-Good organization skills and ability to oversee others.
-Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word applications.
