Job Description:

  • To assist the Chief Executive Officer and/or Finance Director on special projects and transactions
  • To assist the Chief Executive Officer and/or Finance Director on strategic issues relating to finance, funding, and operations
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly Group consolidation and related schedules in a timely manner
  • Review of monthly management accounts for subsidiaries within the Group and monitor compliance with accounting requirement
  • Coordinate and review the inter-company reconciliations and clearance of reconciling items of the Group
  • Provide accurate and timely financial and management information for business review or decision making with the management team, board of directors, etc
  • To ensure all deadlines are met and requirements are adhered to in terms of Bursa requirements, MFRS/IFRS requirements, CA 2016, tax matters under Income Tax Act 1967
  • Responsible for preparing cash flow and profit & loss statements as well as budgets and assist in the monitoring and control
  • Lead and manage the finance team to ensure the organisation's accounting & financial activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently, to ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage relationships and effectively communicate with bankers, suppliers, external & internal auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, company secretary and other related statutory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably with a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, ACCA/CPA/ICA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience preferably in public listed company,trading / service industry, of which 4 years’ experience at the supervisory or management level
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Exhibit professional etiquette in work, strong integrity, leadership, independent yet a team player, proactive at work and able to work under pressure
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiar with SAP
