Field Engineer

Job Description

• Able to work at offshore oil & gas or maritime locations
• Install and configure fixed and auto tracking VSAT systems at customer's site including antenna, RF system, satellite modem, network router, network switches, WIFI AP, coax, data and telephony cabling
• Analyse, isolate and troubleshoot VSAT problem/s and conduct sheduled preventive maintenance as per customer's contract
• Fully involved in the preperation, completion, testing and precommissioning of equipments/materials prior to packing, mobilzation and site installation.
• Prepare expense report, technical report, chronological report, technical service report, daily timesheet, network diagram and equipment inventory after completion of each job.

Job Requirements

• Holder of Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications Engineering OR Information Technology)
• Diploma holders with more than 3 years experience in networking are welcomed to apply
• Experience at O&G/ Maritime offshore environment is an added advantage
• Knowledge/exposure to RF transmission system(VSAT<Microwave, Radio) is a requirement
• Basic knowledge of data and telephony network (ie network routers,network switches) is a requirement
• Able to lay, install and commission structured cabling works (RF,LAN Data and Telephony cables) is a necessity
• Medically fit to obtain a safety passport for offshore eligibility
• Good attitude and mindset towards work challenges,pressure and work etiquette
