Job Title: Software Engineering Manager (PnP – Pick and Place)

Location: Ayer Keroh, Malacca and USA

Industry: Back-end semiconductor equipment and services

 

 

Main objectives:

  • To manage product Enhancement projects for PnP-MY Engineering Department to the requirements and timeline provided by the Product Managers.
  • Create Partnerships and Collaborate with PNP MY Product, PNP US Product, PNP MY SQA.
  • Determine necessary training to any report to increase productivity.
  • Manage resources, workload, motivation and behavior to achieve targets and maximize productivity.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the Quality delivery of the Software within the agreed timeline.
  • To manage interactions and communications with PNP-MY Product and SQA Software engineering teams.
  • To manage the software release in collaboration with SQA (Software Quality Assurance) Software Engineering Department.
  • To execute Software product transfer from PNP-US to PNP-MY
  • To train, review or write requirements and test plans
  • To train, request or execute software unit testing on PC and/or handler equipment
  • To collaborate and consult with PNP-US for technical issues which require escalation
  • To ensure compliance of the team to software development process.
  • To visit customer sites to contain critical field issues as necessary
  • To ensure team members have appropriate technical specification direction and resources to deliver task completion effectively
  • To establish realistic timeline estimations for tasks and at the same time ensuring they still remain on target to meet deadlines.
  • To communicate with customer on software issues as necessary
  • To provide expert advice and support to the team.
  • To drive the team to growth, development and continuous improvement in productivity.
  • To complete any other tasks assigned from time to time based on business needs
