Responsibilities:
- To Drive transformation of finance functions across the Bank, adaptable to the changes and development in financial and banking industry to ensure management of capital, funding and cost are effective and of best standards, supportive of the achievement of the bank strategic aims and objectives.
- Provide strategic review and act as strategic thought partners to the Management on plans, budgets and forecasts for financial processes and systems development to ensure maximization of delivery of service outcomes.
- Develop, recommend and implement financial strategies that support bank-wide and division objectives.
- Ensure the provision of full and accurate information, research analysis, and timely policy advice to Management on matters and projects undertaken.
- Lead the development, delivery and monitoring of the Bank’s financial strategy.
- Develop, review and implement finance and accounting policies that are in conformance with relevant regulatory and accounting standards taking into account the DFI perspective.
- Liaise with the Bank’s external auditor to ensure the Finalization Bank’s Financial Statements are completed and audited with a minimum of reporting of audit points of concern.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in relevant fields, and in possession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements (if any).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in related industries; has assumed management positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
- Financial and commercial awareness, with strong analytical skills and an excellent aptitude for developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Plan, prioritize, preserve and deliver improvements to achieve objectives within timescales.
- Ability to explore innovative and creative means of delivering improved service outcomes through effective resource utilization, whilst minimizing risk, and maintaining a focus on delivering business as usual.
- Ability to initiate, develop and implement effective strategies with clear goals and to make clear, informed, appropriate and timely decisions together with an ability to challenge poor service delivery.
