R&D Engineer - Embedded Software

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) or equivalent
• Programming skills in C, C++, and C#
• Knowledge of microcontroller architecture (ARM, 8051)
• Knowledge of electronic component characteristics and their limitation
• Knowledge of in-circuit debugger, JTAG debugger, and similar tools
• Knowledge of STM microcontroller will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of embedded OS FreeRTOS/Linux will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of electronic instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers etc.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently
• Committed and passionate about engineering
• Good understanding of electronics fundamentals
• Good communication skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Positive thinking and good self-discipline
• Applicants must be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and debug software
• Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments
• Create development schedule and follow it as planned
• Participate in design FMEA
• Work with hardware development team for software and hardware integration
• Ensure procedures of data security are followed
• Support design for manufacturing
• Support test validation group with the test method for product validation and production test setup
• Ensure intellectual properties are well respected in all time
