They have strict policies in place to ensure consistent quality in all products produced and a continuous improvement philosophy. Their broad portfolio of products includes decorative and protective coatings for wood,metal and plastic in the industrial markets,interior and exterior decorative paints and aerosols.
The company is seeking to recruit a UV Chemist with wet chemistry analytical techniques to work with the QC, production and technical team to assist with the testing of new and current products.
About the job
This position is reporting to Technical Manager.
This position is accountable for the solution of complex problems and providing timely and accurate support to help resolve various issues and support existing and new products development issues and analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
Responsible to perform timely and accurate product testing on production materials.
Responsible to conduct product formulations and testing.
Maintenance of safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures.
Resolution of problems relating to products and processed accomplished in timely manner.
The candidate
Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 8-10 years of experience in formulating,application and testing of UV wood, metal and plastic coatings.
Strong knowledge of UV chemistries and technologies such as waterbased,sprayable UV,solvent free UV.
Posess good knowledge of pigments and dyes for wood.
Good knowledge of various types of wood substracts and their pre-treatment methods.
Ability to recognise and apply approaches and designs to resolve complex problems.
