Technician 5, Test Equipment Maintenance

​· Schedule events/programs/activities for others and develop specific goals/plans to accomplish work while adjusting in relation to others

· Understand implications of and lead semi-complex to complex projects using considerable judgment creatively and effectively, while making recommendations for solutions

· Develop new BKM strategies/procedures for effective data mining techniques and presentation methods for various research projects (UCL, QDR, high-impact NCR's)

· Interface with MFG & field engineers, business units, visitors/vendors, SPS, and NSR groups to provide suggestions for testing methods and solutions to existing issues

· Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by

o troubleshooting new or persistent issues and performing rework

o utilizing BKM (Best Known Method)/Tech Bulletins/FCO's

o utilizing computer systems, schematics fixtures, assembly drawings, work instructions, and previous experience

o keeping management updated and escalating for solutions

· Prioritize escalations by communicating verbally and in writing to other Test Techs/Leads/supervisors/engineers/vendors

· Consistently exhibit behaviors that align with Lam's core values

Other Responsibilities

Safety Protocol:

· Complete all required safety training

· Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.

· Adhere to personal/ and product safety guidelines by:

o utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures.

o following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST).

o utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tool) to aid in the assembly of tools.

· Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments

Minimum Qualification

· Associates degree or technical diploma in electronics or related field required and/or equivalent military experience that includes electronics, such as avionics


· 6+ years of related experience

· Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

· Squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand and operate in ergonomically- challenging positions for over 50% of time

· Able to lift 35 pounds and perform repetitive motions using hands and various hand tools

· Distinguish between colors for wire identification
