JOB PURPOSE

1. Project Manager is to deliver an effective project management services that includes ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget where the project's objectives and expectation are met within the most efficient use of resources. He / She may work closely with higher management and stakeholders to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is managed accordingly, as well as to obtain other departments support and cooperation.

2. Additionally, the project manager will act as technical lead and manage the implementation of integrated and efficient application systems within product Vega whilst maintaining related application standards, framework and architecture. He / She will involve and assist in the governance, change management and communication of Vega related program to ensure maximum utilization of services and enhance the usability experience of the services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the short and long term strategic and technology plan for MDEC IT services and business solutions and ensure it can be delivered as planned.
  • Recommends enhancement strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating business services outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Understanding client requirements by conducting requirement study by practicing design thinking first and delivering solutions concept and design through wireframes and perform technical analysis for the project requirement and impact assessment.
  • Design the solution based on the defined service platform architecture and plan to implement the solution by using Agile methodology
  • Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of external vendors.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.

  • Developing, maintaining, tracking, and managing a high-quality, integrated project plan to enable accurate reporting and decision making
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar qualification
  • More than 8 years of project management and implementation of application system with experience in n-tier applications, web architecture, & Enterprise integration;
  • More than 5 years of software development experience with added advantage on experience with MVC based framework or microservices;
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum software development practices;
  • Experience working with external customer-facing Web-based and Mobile Applications;
  • Knowledge / experience in system implementation using on PHP, Laravel, MSSQL, MySQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Leveraging well developed interpersonal skills to build & maintain positive working relationships with business and IT stakeholders to achieve project/program objectives.
  • Team builder and facilitator of cross team discussions with proven ability to identify and remove roadblocks and resolve issues;
  • Experience in complex system integrations (internal & external) and related technologies (web services, SOAP, REST, JSON)
