As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Micron, you need support on the environmental, health, safety and security concern. Besides, you also need to do the department management, strategic communication, performance management, strategic leadership, program management, cost management, and quality management.

Responsibilities and Tasks

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY

Exercise due diligence to prevent and detect safety and environmental hazards and violations.

Support for EHS programs to reinforce a positive culture for EHS activities.

Demonstrate support for the execution of the EHS management systems throughout the organization.

Provide team members the resources necessary to fulfill their EHS responsibilities.

Clearly communicate expectations and enforce safety and environmental policies.

DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION

Communicate department goals.

Provide periodic department updates to review current status and future goals and objectives.

Articulate compelling and inspiring visions and strategies.

Maintain ongoing dialogue with global counterparts.

Communicate customer expectations to the organization.

Manage the people side of change.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Create an environment of motivation to foster team members engagement to the fullest of their potential.

Develop a succession management strategy and periodically conduct talent reviews within department.

Promote and exemplify a leader-led development culture within the department.

Advocate a performance management culture, monitoring the use of the performance management system within the department.

Ensure that department learning and development opportunities are identified and fulfilled.

Drive the deployment of site values within the organization.

Monitor and manage the internal climate within the organization.

Foster an environment where “winning as a team” is a way of life.

Develop and promote technical expertise in the group by supporting attendance to conferences and seminars.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

Remain current on business and industry knowledge; current and possible future polices, practices and trends.

Remain current on theories and practices of effective leadership.

Identify, develop, and implement organizational initiatives that drive benchmark culture.

Provide ideas and recommendations to site leadership on department initiatives.

Create competitive and innovative strategies and plans.

Foster an environment where innovative thinking and intelligent risk taking is promoted.

Actively collaborate with global partners to reach aligned decisions.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Drive a culture of project management within the department.

Prioritize & approve projects to align with MTV's areas of focus.

Manage, measure and monitor projects to ensure deliverables and time frames are met.

Provide project resources and remove barriers.

Actively sponsor change initiatives within the sphere of influence.

Incorporate change management methodologies.

COST MANAGEMENT

Manage, measure and monitor costs within your department.

Promote a cost conscious culture within the sphere of influence.

Drive innovative, strategic solutions for cost reduction.

Maintain the most efficient staffing model for the organization.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Set quarterly department quality goals that align with site and corporate goals.

Manage, measure and monitor quality within your department.

Promote a quality conscious culture within the sphere of influence.

Drive innovative, strategic solutions for quality improvement.

Analyze and improve critical business processes utilizing the quality management system framework.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering10 years experience in any of the following:EngineeringManagement/LeadershipProduction/Manufacturing
