The Formation Reservoir Solutions group is responsible for interpretation of WL/LWD acquired logging data. The group provides reservoir interpretations, models and simulations as part of the support for decisions on drainage strategies and field development concepts. A focus is to optimize recovery and development solutions in an economic context and to describe uncertainties, risks and opportunities related to the subsurface area.

Job Description
  • The Reservoir Engineer at Halliburton provides analysis of formation pressure, temperature and other properties including reservoir engineering and production log analysis support.
  • The specific duties of the position include: building and running Kappa reservoir simulation models for reservoir depletion and performance predictions; integrating production modeling/production optimization methodology for subsurface investigations and decision support; conducting production network models and nodal analysis, well performance and artificial lift analysis for producing fields; performing well test analysis using industry standard applications to determine reservoir characteristics and well performance; performing reservoir parameter sensitivity studies and conducting dynamic uncertainty studies, utilizing material balance analysis, decline curve analysis, production forecast, and well performance characteristics to evaluate future field potential; evaluating the design and implementation of stimulations, re-completions and work-over operations for optimizing reservoir depletion strategies; evaluate sand control, production chemistry and flow assurance; independent technical evaluation and well performance diagnostics to optimize capacity utilization and minimize downtime; characterizing natural reservoir drive mechanisms and evaluating secondary or tertiary recovery schemes; and assisting the Exploration and Business Development Departments with technical and economical evaluations during lease sale applications, farm-ins and data trades
  • The Reservoir Engineer will be part of multi-discipline teams performing reservoir characterization studies, and will lead small technical projects related to future field development strategy
  • The Reservoir Engineer will also able to perform Production Logging analysis for single or multiphase fluid flow utilizing conventional or Array PLT Logs.

Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering; Minimum 10- 12 Years' Experience with Service Companies or Operators. Following are the preferred skill sets:
  • Independently able to do Formation Testing and Sampling Real Time operation support along with transient and contamination analysis both on Wireline and LWD Data.
  • Interpersonal Skills, Technical writing skills
  • Ability to work in Multi Culture Team
  • Building and running Eclipse reservoir simulation models, performing reservoir uncertainty and stochastic modeling
  • Performing DST / Mini DST analysis.
  • Performing production optimization, network modeling, well performance, and artificial lift analysis
  • Perform Production Logging analysis for single or multiphase fluid flow utilizing conventional or Array PLT Logs.
  • Reservoir Modeling
  • IOR / EOR including water flooding
  • Field Development
