Aker Solutions' supplier development/performance team based in Port Klang Free Trade Zone is seeking for experienced individual who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the subsea market. We are looking for: Supplier Development Specialist

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develop, monitor and lead regional supplier development plans
  • Engage in development and maintenance of accredited supplier base, enablingexecution of the overall strategy with regard to quality, cost and OTD
  • Analyze suppliers` performance levels, identify clear targets and close gaps
  • Follow up corrective actions and findings resulting from Supplier Accreditations
  • Identify waste in supplier’s manufacturing process and drive improvements
  • Visit supplier's facilities to enhance effectiveness and (LEAN) capabilities
  • Train suppliers in AKSO admin requirements and internal systems (i.e. DTS)
  • Participate in qualification, re-qualification and accreditation of suppliers
  • Support in other SQuAD initiatives and execute on defined strategic actions
  • Other ad-hoc tasks where required
Qualifications and Personal Qualities

  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional resources in selected initiatives
  • Ability to measure and quantify results of ongoing initiatives
  • Experience with Supply Chain and/or Quality management in O&G industry
  • Robust understanding of supplier manufacturing/processes
  • Actively implement LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement tools
  • Strong motivation to work in a new global discipline in Aker Solutions
  • Awareness and understanding of the industry, suppliers and product
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of English
  • Solution oriented with ability to balance strategic and hands-on approach
  • Independent with the ability to initiate action and influence stakeholders
  • Strong motivation to work in a new global discipline in Aker Solutions
  • Transparent team player, systematic and analytical
  • Ability to work under pressure with “can-do-attitude”
