Job Purpose:

The Project Manager Cross-functional role is responsible for the:

(1) delivery of small to medium size ERP projects in time, quality and budget ensuring customer satisfaction and effective alignment of ERP investment with business requirements and effective use of resources, creating business value through consistent and efficient IT project service delivery and:

(2) preparation of Project and CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) including the consolidation of inputs from other service lines.
  • Ensure business change management and readiness by constant and regular collaboration and alignment with Key Business and IT Stakeholders, reporting to senior management levels.
  • Compliance with ERP IT project methodology framework (based on ICE) and associated standards, templates and guidelines must be ensured by advising and coaching project subordinates.
  • Develop an environment which fosters a high-performance and high quality project delivery, and efficient management (planning, execution and reporting) of small to mid-size ERP project portfolio.
  • Alignment with ERP IT Finance and actively contributing to timing, risks, location etc. of ERP IT project CARs, to follow a most industrialised and efficient project preparation process.
  • Organise Business Readiness Assessments and scoping sessions while orchestrating other service lines and CBS & ERP CoE Vendor Management and IGM & PQM (Information Governance and Project Quality Management) teams.
Major Accountabilities

Delivery : -
  • Manage project budget, deliverables, resources and assess team members performance.
  • Responsible for tracking projects cost and timelines progress through reviews of status reports to be shared with the relevant project stakeholders
  • Lead the development and implementation of a small to moderate scope and complexity programs/projects, to meet the goals and priorities of the ERP CoE.
  • Solution Deployment service line.
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully met and deliver value according to the business case.
  • Follow a defined, agreed upon project methodology framework (based on ICE) ensuring compliance with Global ERP guidelines and associated best practices standards and templates.
  • Contribute to improvement of project delivery initiatives.
  • Manage project risks and issues and pro-actively start mitigation actions.
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvements within project scope.
  • Manage project stakeholders.
  • Responsible for tracking projects cost, timelines and progress through reviews of status reports.
  • Ensure proper alignment across the different functions/processes and service lines, fostering the implementation of CORE solutions.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered according to the plan.
  • Properly forecast changes and communicate issues on a timely manner.
  • Prepare and drive Transition to Operations and post Go/Live activities Decision Making.
  • Understand how and when to make a choice; how and when to escalate issues to higher levels.
  • Analyze the risks and future impact of decisions.
  • Final selection of project staffing. Assess performance of project resources.
  • Manage and control budget and project timelines.
  • Make decision with short-term impact independently, within a clear program of action and guided by precedence and within guidelines generally available.
Preparation : -
  • Own and prepare CARs in the area of Cross Functional, including the consolidation and verification input from contributing service lines.
  • Ensure that CAR review meetings are organized and held with appropriate participation.
  • Maintain CAR inventory in the area of Cross Functional.
  • Orchestrate business readiness assessment and scoping exercises in cooperation with Service Delivery, Design & Architecture.
  • Ensure organizational readiness and structure before kick-off.
  • Identify areas for improvements within the preparation framework.
  • Ensure complete handover of information to Delivery teams.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Projects and programs are delivered in time, quality and budget with minimum business disruption.
  • Programs and projects meets business expectations.
  • Full adherence to established policies and procedures, ensuring that audit findings are avoided.
  • Achieve smooth project transition to Operations (CoE).
  • Ensure delivery of project results according to agreed scope and functionality in close alignment with the business priorities/goals.
  • Projects are closed including full documentation.

Minimum requirements

  • University Degree or adequate equivalent.
  • Bachelor degree in Business/technical
  • SAP knowledge in specified modules/process areas is an added advantage.
  • English: Very good spoken and written.
  • Additional language preferred.
  • >8 years of relevant professional business/ IT experience.
  • In-depth understanding of business processes and the interrelationships with IT processes.
  • Exhibits a comprehensive knowledge in Project Management methodology, internal IT standards and finance processes.
  • Proven experience in Program/Project Management.
  • Good knowledge of business process analysis and design, system architectures, technology standards, CSV, and regulatory requirements
