Responsible for electrical engineering activities such as board design, test/validation plan development and execution, checkout, modifications, fabrications. Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in hardware development work. May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Qualifications - BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. - Use common lab equipment: DIMM, scopes, bench power supplies, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc. - Experience with board schematics and engineering CAD tools, such as Cadence. -Configure PC for networking in Microsoft Windows environment. -Create hardware test fixtures and perform board re-work. -Experience with Microsoft Office products - especially Excel. -Experience with LabView: running tests, debugging code, writing new test procedures. -Experience with SPEED and NPO NIC products a plus.
