Taking on a customer facing technical role, you’ll get to grips with the world’s most advanced technologies, see new products come to market and introduce cutting-edge technology solutions to our customers. In a customer facing technology role you will act as a trusted technology advisor, you will strategize information technology decision makers as well as business decision owners who come to Microsoft for specific and unique end-to-end solutions. You may take on a consultant role, where you will be required to design, and implement enterprise infrastructures and IT business solutions, often working on-site to help customers deploy their solutions or work as a field engineer, where you will be responsible for delivering dedicated technical solution support to strategic Microsoft customers ensuring the health of their IT infrastructure.

Technical Account Manager (TAM)

The TAM is the primary front-line customer facing support role within the Microsoft Services organization, and is responsible for the overall

growth, quality, and satisfaction of the customer’s support services relationship. This role offers an opportunity to be front and center with our

customers supporting them in their digital transformation, while accelerating your career by driving business impact.

Technology Solutions Professional (TSP)
  • Act as the key technical contact for our Inside Sales team with potential customers.
  • Demonstrate aspects of the technical and business solution to customers over Skype for Business.
  • Execute quick technical feasibility assessments and proposal developments for the customers identified solutions to the Microsoft cloud
  • Scope the technical and security design for customer solutions, select optimal migration paths for the customer, build consumption plans, as well as execute limited POCs, where necessary
  • Audit and confirm implementation requirements and pricing calculations as required, so that the customer receives an accurate projection of anticipated costs in new services sought
  • Prepare technical insights and key scenarios required to drive the right technical and business solution outcomes
  • Contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
  • Conduct group and one-on-one trainings across the Center on subjects of expertise
  • Meet and exceed team-level monthly, quarterly and annual targets for net-new revenue and sales pipeline, as well as operational metrics
  • Constantly research and educate self with the newest developments in cloud capabilities and pricing for both Microsoft and competitor
Partner Technology Strategist (Channel Development)

The Role: The PTS is a Credible Technical Advisor to Partners C-Suite technical and practice management executives sharing a compelling

technical vision leading to Partners committing to building new practices based on Microsoft’s technologies. PTSs align partners technology

roadmaps with Microsoft’s technology priorities and ensure the partner is ready to bring new solutions to market that drive significant growth

in partner and Microsoft revenues.

A Technology Strategist: The PTS Is a strategist yet stands out because of their Insights, Big Ideas, Epiphanies on new market opportunities for

partners surrounding Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Open Source, Blockchain, Security & Compliance, GDPR and IOT that drives

consumption of the Microsoft Azure platform, extended with Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.

Partner Types Managed: The PTS works in partnership with the Partner Development Manager (PDM) through the ‘Build-With’ stages of the

Partner Life-cycle engaging with Channel Development partners.
