Job Description 

  • Submit accurate and timely tax returns, supporting documents and schedules in accordance with the relevant local tax rules, regulations, and generally accepted practices, within the deadlines set by them
  • Pay or effect payment of all tax liabilities on time and in the right amount, as shown on the tax return
  • Submit accurate and timely tax accounting information in accordance with local and Group accounting requirements
  • Closely engage with other processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities upon which tax payments/returns submissions depend on
  • Prepare and execute accurate and timely tax returns, respective supporting documents required and tax payments
  • Develop professional working relationships with colleagues within the process and in the interface process across Finance Operations
  • Update work instructions as and when applicable and also at regular intervals as per Work Instructions policy guidelines
  • Collate information for inquiries from external auditors and authorities
  • Support change management initiatives and contribute to successful go-live of tax migrations
  • Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve processes
  • Comply with¬†clients records management & Information risk management procedures and manage the working papers and supporting documentation related to the tax returns
  • Perform SOAR analysis of tax accounts balances and ensure accuracy of balances as per required
  • Please note that the above is subject to changes and the incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as assigned.
  • Able to explain End-to-End MIT process (in particular preparing and filing returns and tax payment), including Indirect Tax Type (Volume & Value), Taxing Jurisdictions for an operating scope (Countries, States, Provinces, etc) and Class Of Business(COBs)/Entities and activities handled
  • Able to explain the MIT process in the dimension of indirect taxation terminology, concepts, requirements, controls, risks relating to Indirect Taxes handled (i.e. sales taxes; excise duties; customs duties; cross-border transaction taxes; and environmental taxes)
  • Able to apply tax advice given by Indirect Tax Advisors in End-to-End MIT process
  • Able to interface effectively with relevant stakeholder(s) to timely identify or describe tax problems and effective escalate indirect tax issues/risk coming from standard MIT process (including Integrated Support Model (ISM)) executed by such an individual
  • Able to prepare documentation and input to responses to queries raised by the government relating to indirect tax audits
  • Continuous Improvement and Data Quality Assurance to drive Operational Excellence across End to end processes
  • Understands the basics of Process and Data thinking and Continuous Improvement techniques and is able to advise colleagues on those
  • Manages day to day operations of a sub-process covering one or more location, system and/or organization (including staffing, competence and performance management)
  • Knows and uses the design and Standard Operating Procedures of the process they operate
  • Understands how their work and actions drive the E2E process and data performance
  • Leads effectively Process Performance reviews or Visual Management sessions for own area of responsibility
  • Proactively shares experiences (successful or not) to create an environment where Operational Excellence is valued and rewarded
  • Understands in broad terms the governance (organization, roles, relationships, processes, standards) of own business area


  • At least a Bachelor degree holder in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 1 -3 years of working experience in financial analysis skills related field 
  • Required skills: Financial accounting & analysis (e.g. variance analysis), financial reporting skills
  • Knowledge in indirect tax and SAP an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin 
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel (Macro) or Visual Basic for Applications is welcomed
  • Results oriented, fast-paced, resourceful and proactive
  • Good communication, stakeholder engagement & analytical skills
  • Previous experience in multicultural/multinational companies a plus point.
  • Must be able to work under pressure with team members
  • 5 months Contract position Available in Cyberjaya, Selangor
