Main Tasks : Strategic (Semi)
  • Execute the product strategy as defined by Regional Product Management
  • Co-developing BASF PETRONAS Chemicals' Strategic Targets (mid-term planning 3-5 years)
  • Transfer supplies Pricing including contract negotiation
  • Reviewing and ensuring optimum supply chain and logistics to serve customers
  • Ensuring transparency in decision making on pricing and volume allocation, understanding of market and applications to safeguard company margin.
  • Possess “hunter” mentality to lead, challenge and drive sales agents to work towards maximising business return
  • Provide critical supportive analysis to assist decision making
  • Co-lead for monthly S&OP, volume planning and allocation by country/customer
  • Evaluate and propose best supply chain options to meet customers requirement
  • Monitor and track raw material & cost development for margin checks and communication to RBU & GM for joint decision on monthly target pricing to countries
  • Responsible for major raw material nominations and tracking, communication to plant & site
  • Responsible in ensuring NCMs investigation and closure are conducted with best interest of customer and balance on company commitment
  • Lead for company Operational Planning (defined product)
  • Lead for transfer plants on planning and pricing
  • Ownership in ensuring accuracy in margin estimation and costs of products
  • Monitor and analysis actuals against business plan/OP for communication within JV and proactively propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare monthly sales & marketing report
  • Feedback and Input for management on monthly Business Forecast
  • Preparing Communication packages (countries& customers) in case of major supply disruptions
  • Main contact with RBU managing information flow and actions for business related decisions.
REQUIREMENT * Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Science
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Product & Marketing or related field
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Customer focus with good communication cum coordination skills with both internal and external parties
  • Good team player by adopting good listening skills that cultivate inspired working environment
  • HSE awareness and safety-first mind-set
  • Good in process planning
  • Strong business acumen able to give proposal on overall business strategy
  • Can work independently and work under stress.
  • Proficiency in computer software especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Good proficiency of English, both spoken and written. Strong presentation skills
