Take the Leadership for Learning and Development activities in the Store to develop highly performing, knowledgeable people. Ensure all competence development initiatives grow our business and support the sustaining of long-term profitability, always considering the impact on our co-workers, and ultimately leading to customer satisfaction.
  • You will secure, coordinate and facilitate the on-boarding process for new co-workers, including a well-functioning buddy system.
  • You will support and continuously update the IKEA Basic Job Knowledge booklets.
  • You will develop and maintain the store’s yearly training plan and individual schedules, sign ups and evaluation of Return of Investment.
  • You will take the lead in the store to build training programs that are aligned to the need of business as well as adapted to the co-workers’ way of learning for today and tomorrow needs.
  • You will work with the Managers to ensure that everyone has their development talk and individual training plans.
  • You will conduct training need analysis, assess gaps and evaluate the effectiveness of a learning intervention.
  • You ensure that trainings are documented, updated in the training database and maintain the training module database and produce reports as necessary.
  • You actively contribute to create an environment when the IKEA Values are a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and visitors.
  • You will ensure training investments are aligned to the budget process and allows set targets for learning activities to meet best Return of Investments.
  • You will remain up to date on current training and development trends via networking, matrix communication and multimedia access.

  • You should come with at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • You have strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • You are able to work independently yet a team player in delivering results and meeting business needs.
  • You are able to multi-task with strong project management and follow up skills.
  • You are IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications.
  • You can commit to working on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
