This is a senior role within the GBS Asia Extended Leadership Team (XLT) responsible for implementing, embedding and delivering robust Crisis and Continuity Management (C & CM) processes across BP Malaysia (GBS Asia, IT&S, Lubricants and PetChem) in conformance with Group Defined Practice (GDP) 4.6. The role holder is also responsible for developing and driving delivery of all HSSE activities across the Bangsar South campus and coordination with equivalent person in Port Klang (PKI) site.

The role holder is responsible for providing technical and specialist C&CM and HSSE expertise to support the business’ ability to effectively mitigate, withstand and respond to the impacts caused by any major operational disruption or HSSE issue.

Key accountabilities:

C&CM

Co-ordinate all C&CM activity across the Bangsar South Campus (GBS Asia, IT&S, Lubricants and PetChem) ensuring compliance with the Crisis and Continuity Management (CCM) Group Defined Practice 4.6.0001 standards

Lead annual Business Continuity assessments and liaise with Entity leadership to ensure potential C&CM risks have been identified, assessed, prioritized and appropriate mitigation strategies developed

Provide expert knowledge on the business requirements provided in C&CM GDP 4.6-0001 - interpreting the BP Group Defined Practices (GDP), Group Recommended Practices (GRP) and Group Essentials for C&CM, Emergency Response, Security and other designated elements, to determine their appropriate application for Bangsar South Campus (GBS Asia, IT&S, Lubricants and PetChem)

Provide guidance and leadership on C&CM matters to the C&CM reps from the other Malaysian businesses.

Working together with other C&CM reps in Malaysia to annually review, refine and implement robust C&CM processes across Bangsar South Campus (GBS Asia, IT&S, Lubricants and PetChem) and embed within the Operations teams as part of Operational Excellence for GBS Asia

Create and embed processes for assessing and developing capability for C&CM within the Entity, including the provision of relevant training interventions & materials (e.g. Incident Management, Business Continuity Management, C&CM Awareness, Send Word Now)

Ensures the Center’s conformance for Accounting for People, conducting at least one Accounting for People Exercises per year and making sure processes and tools are maintained on a regular basis for Bangsar South Campus (GBS Asia, IT&S, Lubricants and PetChem)

SPA for the ERP (Emergency response plans), ensure that Incident Management Plan is regularly updated, risk reviews refreshed and amendments incorporated for changes in staff and environmental conditions. Monitor the progress of any mitigation actions identified.

Lead the GBS Asia BCM Practitioners network

Actively participate in the global GBS C&CM network identifying and sharing best practice

HSSE

Develop and drive delivery of the annual GBS Asia HSSE Plan (aligned with the GBS HSSE Strategy) across the Bangsar South campus location (including IT&S)

Own and drive the annual Safety Improvement Cycle (SIC) for GBS Asia

Drive all HSSE “business as usual” activities in line with Office Safety Framework (OSF) including mandatory training, Safety stand-ups, Safety Observations & Conversations, Safety culture workshops

Drive all emergency preparedness and response plans including Fire wardens & first aider training and fire drills.

Work with Group Health and BP Malaysia OHN to monitor and address health-related aspects of HSSE, including Compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Act 1995 and ownership of Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP) for Bangsar South campus.

Work with Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to mitigate Office Ergonomics risk via the use of Remedy OES.

Monitor and report on all HSSE metrics for Bangsar South, as defined by the GBS / GBS Asia Leadership.

Drive and coordinate a country-wide Malaysia HSSE network, encompassing representatives from Menara Axiata and PKI plant to jointly address common country-wide HSSE risk and share best practices and experience.

Act as the GBS Asia HSSE representative on the global GBS HSSE network, as well as being the focal point for related stakeholders, e.g. Group Security

Essential Education:

Degree related to Occupational, Health and safety

Essential experience and job requirements:

Overall 8 - 10 years experience with significant experience in HSSE role(s), occupational and business crisis and continuity management

Have a thorough understanding of a number of the GBS key operational systems, processes, resources and dependencies in order to update at global functional tower level:

Business Impact Analysis and

Risk Assessment (determine the key Business Continuity risks)

Previous experience of leading HSSE team for large organisation

Experience overseeing multiple activities and tasks

Minimum of 5 (TBC) years of coaching and leadership experience managing and supervising teams

Significant project management skills

Excellent communication (oral and written) and influencing skills

Other

Ability to demonstrate a passion for C&CM and HSSE activity and create energy, engagement and commitment with others

Exposure to CI and other improvement methodologies
