The Enterprise Infrastructure team is looking for an Merchandising & CPFR (Distribution Planning) Senior Advisor. This role is responsible for driving Collaboration, Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) by leveraging analytics and working closely with the Channel account, regional Supply Planning, Sales, and Logistics. The person in this role will be highly analytical and enjoy working with data. In the CPFR element of the role, this person will work with our key distributors in evaluating their current inventory levels and advising them on their weekly orders. A deep understanding of top runners, Product EOL and Product NPI will be essential to effectively advising distributors on opportunities and risk associated with their stock positions. Where Stock rotation is required (aging inventory), this person will work with the Channel Account team to manage risk accordingly.

This person will work collaboratively with Server Merchandizing team to ensure a joined-up solution for your distributors and that will enable Server FGA sales. They will integrate into a quarterly sell-in/sell-out plan providing unit and product recommendation for stocking based on country top sellers, highlight issues and opportunities for growth. They will work with Server merchandizing team to ensure market competitiveness for FGA server while ensuring Upgrades margin levels are optimized. Provide weekly performance update and define actions for Merchandise team, Sales and Marketing team, monitor real time competitive offers and promotions and ensure quick response to the local market situation. Act as trusted advisor for pricing insight and competitiveness in resellers, distribution as well as build relationships with Dell sales and distribution to gain insight and collaborate on activities to drive maximum impact (tactical and strategic).

Based on the information above, this individual will also be responsible for Merchandising product on the Distributors SPL as well as on all online platforms. In addition to product selection, this person will work with the regional pricing manager to ensure effective pricing on Upgrades that drives margin and maintains effective pricing halos.

There is a keen focus for this role in ensuring that customers have ready access to Upgrades either through channel or directly online and that as an organization, we continue to drive profitability through our Premium pricing strategy.

Responsibilities include:
  • Builds a monthly distribution demand plan for Dell EMC Upgrades.
  • Monitors, analyzes the customer inventory and sales data and leverage that information to make informed decisions and commitments.
  • Manages product demand plan throughout entire product and customer lifecycle.
  • Manages demand plan to prevent excess lead times as well as shortage/excess inventory levels.
  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with business objectives and analyzes gaps to plan and evaluates impact to targets.
  • Determines the Product merchandizing plan for both SPL and Online Platforms
  • Defines pricing position to ensure effective channel halos while optimizing profitability across all frictionless routes to market.
Essential Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Business, Marketing, Finance) and 5 years’ relevant experience (Channel, Marketing) or Graduate degree and 5 year’s relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the distribution and online marketplace
  • In-depth disciplinary knowledge
  • Experience with developing and implementing channel strategies and account support plans
  • Experience with managing complex account issues and resolutions and facilitating and leading account meetings
  • 25% travel - travel to customer sites
