Ø  Assessing project requirements.
Ø  Agreeing timescales and specifications with customer
Ø  Measuring performance of mechanical components, devices and engines
Ø  Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products
Ø  Writing reports and documentation
Ø  Providing technical advice, analysing and interpreting data
Ø Research, development, testing and evaluation of medical devices, advisement on new medical purchases for hospitals and medical centre.
Ø  Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability;
Ø  Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs;
Ø  Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, suppliers and customers;
Ø  Make sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments;
Ø  Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques;
Ø  Recommending modifications following prototype test results;
Ø  Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design;
Ø  Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints;
Ø  Create solutions to complex technical problems.
Ø  Engineers need to create, modify, and test products and processes.
Ø  Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
Ø  Conduct test and collect data.
Ø  Set up equipment, prepare and conduct experiments.
Ø  Calculate or record results during experiments.
Ø  Calibrate test equipment.
Ø  Program and run computer simulations to test designs virtually.
Ø  Design, develop, test and manufacture electrical and electronic equipment such as
Ø  communication equipment, medical monitoring devices, navigational equipment, and
Ø  Solfware installation to link equipment with computers.
Ø  Develop methods used in the prevention, control, or remediation of environmental hazards.
Ø  Analysing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
