Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounting

The Role      

The position is administratively reporting to the Branch Manager and functionally reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting function, including review of monthly closing, tax, audit and internal controls. You will also be responsible for management reporting, budget management and forecasting activities. You will provide financial guidance on business unit activities and support in providing dashboards, operational business insights and commentary on variance and performance drivers.

Job Responsibilities         

1. Manage full spectrum of financial and management accounting functions       

2. Monitor and supervise the day-to-day accounting and finance matters     

3. Take responsibilities for the monthly accounts closing processes and ensure in the timely submission of financial reports               

4. Monitor and managing the credit control and cash flow                 

5. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements and company policies and operating procedures 

6. Coordinate with internal and external parties on accounting related matters

Job Requirements                 

1. Degree in Accountancy or relevant professional qualification, ideally exposure in MNC environment with freight forwarding industry experience added advantage       

2. 3-5 years of experience in relevant field, including management experience   

3. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines                     

4. Good communication and organisation skills                           

5. Mature with good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and interact with all level   

6. High proficiency in Excel added advantage           

7. Able to undertake a hands-on approach to manage department
