The ITSM function is ever growing in importance and prominence, as effective collaboration and communication across functions in a complex enterprise is vital to the continued success of the business.

Change Management has been a positive force in reducing the number of IT outages and saving the company hundreds of man-hours.

The Change Analyst will report the Japan ITSM IS Change Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will:

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze risk and impact in ServiceNow Change Tickets, escalating and highlighting risky work, resulting in minimizing risk to the business.
  • Chair (Japanese/English) in the absence of the IT Change Manager.
  • Pro-actively identify areas of process improvement within the ITSM function.
  • Build and sustain strong rapport with infrastructure team and application team members, resulting in effective communication and clear understanding of planned work.
  • Scope and deliver change process training are given to all required team members.
  • Support AIG Regional change manager for the agreed overall scope of the function.
Required Skills:
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, preferably for financial institutions.
  • At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in IT change management, preferably running a CAB in an enterprise scale corporation.
  • Strong ITIL background and analytical ability regarding change.
  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to multi-task. Have the ability to handle stressful situations and multiple change approval requests while not losing sight of details as well as the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written). The ability to communicate confidently and clearly on bridge calls, in meetings, via email, etc. at all levels of the organization is essential.
  • Business level English and at least N1 JPLT Japanese ability required.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to chair a CAB and quickly summarize impact/risk to C-level executives.
  • Client focus and ownership - displays initiative and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to interface and work with multiple teams across regional boundaries and communication channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team player.
  • Quick in identifying leads to get dependencies for change review
  • Process oriented, thorough and having an eye for detail
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours.
Preferred skills :
  • Strong cross technology background in areas such as network, distributed, end user and mainframe.
  • Understanding of foundational IT technical issues and relationships
  • Knowledge of corporate toolsets such as Service-Now (incident/problem)
  • Possess excellent writing/analytical skills as well as the ability to be detailed and process oriented.
  • Strong overall knowledge of technology business and best practices
  • Understanding of PM terminology, concepts, and processes. Possesses working knowledge of general project management practices and methodologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and KPI analysis is a plus.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • ITIL v2 or v3 Foundations training or higher level of ITIL Certifications

  • Gain a wide view on the IT environment and high visibility from senior management.
  • Have opportunities to explore other interesting roles within the ITSM department (incident, problem, CMDB, monitoring, release, etc.) or beyond.
