Hunting for new applications, customers and Ultrason sales opportunities for Automotive, Consumer and other industries’ applications in ASEAN

Develop and implement sales strategy for ASEAN countries, achieve planned sales volume and margin targets

Establish Customer Engagement Plans, understand customer’s preconditions to work with BASF and establish Ultrason solutions meeting customer’s technical requirements.

Ensure multi-leveled engagement between major customer and G-PM/PA stakeholders

Provide technical assistance & trouble shooting at customer’s facilities

Job Description

Hunting for new customers

Hunt for new customers within the target applications and segments as described in the Ultrason Segment Roadmaps

Establish contact with customer R&D Engineers and Designers, evaluating the need for high-temperature polymers, identifying opportunities for application development from Ultrason product portfolio, by either acquiring new projects or share-shifting from competitor products

Support incoming requests from potential customers for technical guidance and development from Specialty Polymers portfolio, through direct customer interaction (travelling)

Carry out sales activities & further secure business opportunities by regularly visiting prospective customers to understand and identify their needs to create a sustainable customer supplier relationship with long-term focus.

Farming of business with existing accounts

Maintain regular exchange with key customer stakeholder (i.e. R&D, Purchasing, Operations, Logistics, Quality Management, Sales etc.) of existing customers, either assuring BASF to maintain or grow its supply dominance through project acquisitions for Ultrason.

Evaluate, actively communicate and drive market, application or customer-specific developments of new Ultrason grades, introduce such to the market and establish multiple sales outlet for newly developed products

Actively involve other members of the sales team & function team to multiply newly applied applications from Ultrason portfolio

KPIs & Communication

Plan, monitor, support, achieve and ideally exceed the individual and team KPI targets for Ultrason.

Actively communicate customer information through call reports within the tools provided (i.e. CRM), as well as ensure the information being shared within the Ultrason community. Actively involve other members of the sales team & function team to multiply newly applied applications from Ultrason portfolio

Ensure all business development plans and Customer Engagement Plans for strategic accounts are in place, develop such documents for newly assigned accounts and review timely, as well as monitor and review sales and marketing promotion campaign’s execution



Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering

Working Experience & Technical Knowledge

More than 6 years of related working experience on special polymer is preferred.
