About our Client:

Our client is a solid and established Public Listed company. They are a market leader in its field and is well known for its’ good working environment and benefits. Reporting to the CFO, they are currently looking for a Tax Senior Manager/Manager to lead the Tax team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly provisional and deferred tax computation and
  • Provide tax reconciliation, quarterly and yearly provisional tax forecast for management review for all Malaysian entities.
  • Prepare and submit annual tax return and tax estimates to Inland Revenue Board (“IRB”).
  • Reviewing remittance and comment on applicability of withholding tax.
  • Review, advice and update users on tax and GST regulations.
  • Drive the preparation and review of Transfer Pricing policy, keeping abreast with the latest Malaysia Transfer Pricing Guideline.
  • To attend to routine queries and audit from IRB
  • Develop and improve the daily tax administration system in the company.
  • Undertake tax planning (projects or other new business initiatives) matters for all Malaysian entities to ensure tax compliance, addressing tax risks and optimizing tax position.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/financial or business-related discipline; Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA etc) will be an added advantage.
  • At least 6 years’ experience and exposure to taxation, including 3 years exposure to tax compliance/advisory at Big4 firm. Knowledge in Property Development will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication and interaction skills
  • Advanced and sound knowledge of taxation in Malaysia and the relevant tax legislation.
