What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements - income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our 'centres of excellence' and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Reporting to the Manager, this role involves in accurate processing of client trades, as per defined procedures, whilst meeting Client service level agreements & team KPI's /KQI's. The role will support Australia region with working hours between 5:00am and 2:00pm OR 11:00am and 8:00pm.

What will you do?
  • Receive and record all trade and order details from Investment Managers accurately and within deadlines.
  • Ensure trade instructions are approved by relevant authorised signatories.
  • Ensure authorised signatory lists remain updated with external counterparties as required.
  • Ensure that team processing policies and procedures are kept relevant and updated at all times.
  • Maintain a Daily Control Schedule for all daily processing, in accordance with team procedures.
  • Support the identification of new technology and operational processes to effectively reduce costs, increase quality service and ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in decreasing the risk of errors in the team by suggesting appropriate controls and updating procedures.
  • Strive to build a cohesive team spirit within the Trade Management team that will foster a clear client service focus, operational efficiency and an error free environment.
