Responsibilities:
- Work with the sales and management teams to anticipate and balance demands for sales, orders and optimal stock levels
- Manage the full spectrum of logistics activities from the supply of goods from local and foreign manufacturers to the packaging and distribution hubs in Malaysia and Singapore
- Train and supervise the operations team members to achieve high competency levels
- Seek process and policy improvements to optimize the overall cost and efficiency in the Group’s supply chain
- Monitor and review the delivery standards and service quality of manufacturers and service providers (e.g. freight forwarding, packaging materials, packing and warehousing and delivery)
Requirements:
- University graduate in logistics, production management or equivalent
- 8 years of managerial experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing and or distribution
- Exposure to the trading or import-export sectors, either in FMCG or health supplements
- Good people management and leadership skills and able to communicate at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and commercial acumen to make sound judgments and decisions
- Excellent team player, a good coach and motivator
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Mandarin
- Computer literate, good working knowledge of spreadsheets and ERP systems would be advantageous
